Sangean RCR-22 AM/FM Tuning Clock Radio (White)

    • This is a highly important feature of a radio alarm clock since most people will have it on their nightstand and don't want a bright light keeping them awake.
    • This device is excellent easy to set up if you use it for what it’s intended for excellent sound from the radio easy alarm setup cool blue light that is dimmable Please use manual setting for ease of use do not rely on the Atomic option doesn’t work in most places manual settings will make you breeze through it bypass all the unnecessary options available with this radio use it as a clock radio alarm you will not be disappointed this device has an actual AC plug not a converter that makes noise the alarm is gentle will not wake up the dead
    • Even at the dimmed level it does act as a decent night light.
    • on lowest light dimmer still way to bright....lights up entire bedroom
    • The FM radio reception was perfect until I turned on the LED lights in the room.
    • The blue light is very bright at bedtime, you don't need a night light
    • My only complaint (minor) is the light is quite bright.
    • Love the blue light
    • Could use a programable snooze, light is a little bright, otherwise is a good alarm radio
    • Like the light button to turn light down at night.
    • There is no way to dim this light
    • The light is easy to dim
    • I can imagine that, for some people, this sudden bright light may make it hard to get back to sleep.
    • They need a display level that puts out just enough light to be read when you are at arms length
    • The multiple options for Dimness to Bright light is also appreciated
    • Therefore, if you face the clock towards you at night, the blue light is too bright.
    • The adjustable back lighting for the display is also a nice feature.
    • The light on clock is very bright on low setting light
    • The owner's manual is not detailed sufficiently and when the alarm comes on, the back light is very bright.
    • Atomic clock does not work, reception is not great, the light behind the time works sometimes, just not a good product.
    • Easy to set the alarms, the back light on the front is exceptionally easy to read whether you are right next to the radio or across the room, and I never have to just guess if the time is right.
    • Easy to set the alarms, the back light on the front is exceptionally easy to read whether you are right next to the radio or across the room, and I never have to just guess if the time is right.
    • When an alarm is active and is within 24 hours of going off, a red LED lights in its respective button
    • I enjoyed the blue backlit light
    • I can imagine that, for some people, this sudden bright light may make it hard to get back to sleep.
    • It makes a convenient, low level night lite.....in additiobn to the brighter light during the day.
    • Getting the clock to lock on to a time source took much longer than expected (about 2 days) but it appears to be working.\The back light on the face was delivered way too bright - it literally was more like a night light than a clock radio
    • However – this clock may be too bright in the dark of your bedroom, especially if you like as little light as possible
    • And when the alarm goes off it is gentle at firstand as you sleep the radio gets louder & the light gets very bright.
    • A dimmable display panel is nice, since the back lighting can be very bright.
    • It really is a very bright light--I'm experimenting with draping part of a nylon stocking over it.
    • It is very difficult to use and the light on the clock is way too bright to sleep well with
    • It works as a "night light" for us as well.
    • The display does give off significant light just to be legible and a lot of light when the alarm goes off
    • Its light, even on the "low" mode is like a beacon beckoning wandering shepherds
    • It has a dial on the bottom letting me set the light to super-dim, our wake-up station (NPR) - which used to fuzz out when we turned on the bathroom light (??
    • I was looking for a radio alarm clock that had 1)atomic time, 2)multiple ease-of-use functions like sleep to music, earphone jack, adjustable light on display, am/fm radio among others, and 3)small enough to fit on my small night stand
    • The light even at it's dimmest setting was still too bright.
    • It isn't like you left a light on
    • For example if it's Monday and you set an alarm for thursday, You might wonder why the alarm indicators do not all light up
    • I'm extremely light sensitive and this sucker pumps out the light at night, even when turned way down - here's another problem: when you reduce the display brightness, you can hardly read the time
    • When the radio comes on in the morning the light of the clock radio will slowly become brighter which is welcome when you are trying to wake up.--I like the fact that you can preset the stations--If you've turned off the lighting on the unit while you are sleeping, you can still push a button on the front of the unit if you want to see--quickly--what time it is.
    • The blue light is too bright even at its dimmest and disturbs my sleep.

    • The blue light is too bright even at its dimmest and disturbs my sleep.
    • Sure, you can dim the light, which is a nice feature, BUT when you dim it to an acceptable level you can no longer read the display.
    • I do not like the yellowish-orange background light, but I am learning to live with it
    • You can adjust the backlight; however, unless you're looking directly from the front, there is a bright light along the edge of the display
    • Even after turning the display intensity all the way down (with the little knob on the bottom of the unit), the display remains a strong night light.
    • You can turn the glowing face light all the way off if it bothers you to sleep (knob on the bottom that you turn) and when the alarm goes off or with the push of a single button, the light glows brightly again.
    • The light was way too bright, even on low.
    • But if *you* aren’t willing to accept a bright light for waking, then I warn you: DON’T buy this!
    • I purchased this clock radio because postings informed that LED lights would not affect the quality of the radio reception.
    • I had problems with other radio (sony icf-c707) n/g
