• Reviews around manual (2.70 of 5)

Sangean RCR-22 AM/FM Tuning Clock Radio (White)

    • The manual is fat, but most of it in foreign languages and is missing most all of the detail that would be useful.
    • Poor tone, poor manual, hard to figure out.
    • Once the alarm goes off, the manual says to stop the alarm-ing by pressing the "Standby" button, which doesn't exist either on the clock or on the manual's diagram (but thanks to other reviews we know they mean the Power button).
    • The manual was easy to read, the display is easy to read and completely dimmable and the radio sounds very good and loud for a clock radio
    • It is very hard to operate, the manual is almost useless.
    • I just don't know how to do it and the manual really is not clear.
    • Manual is difficult to read
    • The manual is the only issue I have with this product
    • Yes, we did everything the very poor manual asked us to do to no avail.
    • Whoever is interested in this clock radio should pre-read the two different user manuals, available online
    • Even though the manual is a little hard to read the programming is very simple and very intuitive.
    • I would like to see a better manual, autodimming of the display (it is BRIGHT when set to max), Sangean using a designer that is somewhat current, and perhaps a user manual rewrite, other than that, this clock works very well and will be on my nightstand for years to come
    • The manual is utterly, unacceptably horrible.
    • The reviewer who said the manual was awful was exactly right
    • Unlike my old radio, I don't think I'll have to keep the manual for this radio handy to refresh my memory of seldom used features
    • However, the manual was not helpful and contained no troubleshooting tips.
    • manual is almost useless, and the wake to radio will not work on the AM side unless you have a REAL good signal,
    • It's a shame that the makers can't spend a little time writing a comprehensive manual
    • As other reviews have noted, the manual is incomplete and confusing
    • Most have a rubberized feel.+Initial set-up is intimidating due to so many buttons (there are 18!)and a non-user friendly manual.
    • The manual isn't bad, and the controls are pretty intuitive
    • First, the manual is worthless.
    • The manual is pathetic
    • After about six hours the symbol that claims to show the atomic clock receiving time updates finally appeared on the faceplate...5. setting an alarm time is straightforward once you ignore the instruction manual...
    • As others have said, the manual is a joke
    • My "new" radio came with all the cords unwrapped, the manuals just loose in the box, and the protective plastic missing.
    • Cons:Lousy manual
    • Perhaps a well written manual would have made this a less frustrating product for me
    • I'm generally good with gadgets, but I have to keep the instruction manual handy at all times because the setup is so counterintuitive that I never remember how it works.
    • I DID eventually end up reading the reasonably-well-written manual
    • I have read about how confusing the enclosed manual is
    • The manual that comes with radio is adequate enough but could be better written by someone who speaks English as their primary language.
    • I like the specialized programming (you can pick any day combinations you like, not just M-F or Sat/Sun)
    • If you work a typical work week (M-F) you'll love that you can set the alarm/radio to wake you up ONLY on weekdays.1.
    • Controls not as intuitive as I would like.
    • The radio works as it should and we have figured out most of the features
    • If you hit the snooze button, the light fades back down, then gradually brightens as it comes on again
