    Sangean RCR-22 AM/FM Tuning Clock Radio (White)

    • The power failure protection (I believe it's a large capacitor) is outstanding
    • I purchased this model so that I would not have to reset the clock every time there was a power failure -- all I do is hold a button down to reset -- its great.
    • It even sets time after a power failure
    • ; I wanted a power failure backup system so that it wouldn't lose time; I wanted a true atomic clock that synchronized with the US cesium clock in Colorado; I wanted a well-designed and well-made unit that was user-friendly and would last a long time
    • The power failure protection (I believe it's a large capacitor) is outstanding
    • Wish it has a power failure batter back-up.
    • Easy enough, except that the RCR-22 has a completely inadequate internal battery backup; any power failure that lasts more than 30 minutes or so will eliminate all the internal settings, including the time.
    • However, a battery backup will hold the time for up to a year AND still be able to sound the buzzer alarm during a power failure.
    • I am aware that it has a super capacitor which will hold the time for up to an hour in the event of a power failure.
    • I have had a few power failures and haven't lost a thing
    • I have had a few power failures and haven't lost a thing
    • This little clock/radio has everything you would want - except a back-up battery supply in case of power failure.
    • I'd rate this the biggest drawback to this radio -- especially for those relying on it to get out of bed in the morning ;o{
    • Controls not as intuitive as I would like.
    • The radio works as it should and we have figured out most of the features
    • If you hit the snooze button, the light fades back down, then gradually brightens as it comes on again
