Sanus BF24B 24 Inch Speaker Stands (Pair)

    • The drawing in the instructions does show the wire coming up through the middle of the top plate and apparently running right through the speaker itself, which is just stupid
    • I used velcro to fasten the speakers to the top plate and it worked great
    • As others have mentioned, the "cable management" hole in the top plate is useless.
    • But, as has been pointed out, you can simply feed the wire out the back underneath the top plate
    • The bottom plate is over 12" wide and the top plate is a 6.5" square
    • As other reviewers said, the holes in the top plate and the base for the speaker wire are a joke, but I didn't need to use them.
    • The wire management is a bit of a joke if you try to go through the hole in the top plate as it is too narrow to accept banana plugs
    • The flexible plate that "hides" speaker wire in the center of the stand is tough to position, and when it's in place, the wires tend to peek through the visible gap in the front anyway
    • A total joke if you're trying to use the itty-bitty holes drilled into the top and bottom plate
    • For one stand the edges of the top and bottom plates
    • This meant the top plate did not align quite right with both of the tops of the uprights
    • My only reservation in recommending them would be the top plate needs to be a little larger for better stability.....
    • I'd suggest not using the little rubber feet on the top plate, but instead 4 small squares of Handi-Tak (2 or 3 bucks at Wal-Mart or Staples)for better isolation, plus this stuff really holds your speaker to the stand
    • Also, on the same stand, one of the holes for the top plate was misaligned so that when I screwed into the pre-drilled holes, the wood (particle board) split.
    • I put four pieces of velcro on the top plate first, one in each corner
    • The hole for the speaker wire located on the top plate is useless (don't even worry about trying to re-drill it).
    • Just route the wires from the top back plate and you're good to go.
    • These foot the bill price was great construction is fine please be carefully when screwing in the top plate and the base make sure you take care to screw the screws in straight and don't over tighten as it may crack
    • There is a hole for wiring in the center of the top plate, but the speaker couldn't possibly sit flat on top of the wires
    • I experienced the wood-split issue mentioned by others (wood splits in the two vertical pieces near the base and top plate) in the first two pairs, but came up with a solution to avoid it with the 3rd pair
    • Cable management could be an issue, you should feed the cable in between the posts and then out and around the back of the top plate
    • Perhaps my biggest concern is how small the top plate is
    • Yes, the hole for the speaker wire in the middle of the top plate makes one wonder what the heck the designer was thinking
    • The stands even came with small pads to stick on the corners of the top plate for the speaker to grip on
    • These foot the bill price was great construction is fine please be carefully when screwing in the top plate and the base make sure you take care to screw the screws in straight and don't over tighten as it may crack
    • well as the primary stands on view for our home theater system
