Can't believe how quiet the Seagate is!!!

IMAO, I believe that the Seagate hard drive is the better of the hard drives that are out there

tb are new and this is now a barracuda,the new line is name desktop,and it's speed is 5400 rpm,i love seagate but was a little skepical about it being a 4tb and all,item was packeaged in a nice box,opened it up and there was a manual,power and sata cable and a jumper

Seagate's poor overseas tech support, of no help, they offer to send a `refurbished' drive (a used one) to replace what I purchased NEW

and I trust Seagate

The only complaint I'd have in this aspect is that Seagate is a bit slower to RMA bad drives than they used to be

The other and final report note, was that Seagate was pretty good about replacing returned discs, but also that the replacements were refurbished, not new.

The Seagate software works perfectly for system recognition of 4TB

Also, Seagate support was very responsive regarding a question regarding Seagate software.

I am sorry to say that Seagate has a major quality problem with their hard drives

IS FAST, SILENCE AND RELIABLE, I LOVE SEAGATE

I figured, Seagate has a good reputation, I must have received a bad apple, so I upgraded to this 1TB version.

Now Seagate has a relatively bad reputation for failures but my system is backed up pretty well, so that wasn't a huge factor.

Seagate has been supportive to me but what a lot of work.

Installation" simply involves cracking open my computer case, removing the data and power cables from my old hard drive, and plugging these cables into their respective connectors on the Seagate Hard Drive

Certainly faster than my old Seagate drive (which never failed, btw) but not as fast as a true SSHD, which wasn't necessary for my backup needs.

It replaced another older Seagate Barracuda that failed over time.

Go with any other company because they can NOT be as bad as Seagate.

As usual, i've never had issues with seagate hard drives.

All my Seagate hard drives have 3 mounting screw holes on each side

this is probably the fastest mechanical drive I've used in a long time!200MB/s which is way faster than the typical 120MB/s and even faster

But the 1T filled up quickly, and SSD drives HATE to have little or no room left on them -- they get revenge in really horrible, unpredictable ways

What's not to love about a Seagate hard drive and 6T.

I love Seagate drives and I love seeing 5.5T available in one internal mount point on a home computer.
