I can only guess Seagate has shipped these units bare .Dont waste the extra $ 20.00, order the ST4000DX001 for #149.99 instead.

If you're willing to spend a little more you can easily get triple the storage space with a 3GB versions of this drive sometimes on sale for less than $100 bucks with free shipping.
