The description says they are included: "Ships with: Barracuda desktop hard drive, Free DiscWizard software, Interface cable, power adapter, mounting screws and CD with software manual, custom installation guide"
-
No decent software
-
upgrade to the system hardware is awesome and speedy for the Home PC, the software not so great also no sata cables included
-
My issue, and the reason I removed a star, is that the ad states that the product comes with the free 'DiscWizard' software.
-
Software was a bit cumbersome
-
This package is advertised and sold as a kit, which implies that the cables and hardware, as well as the software, needed to install the drive are included.
-
I tried the clone to save hassles but was unable to access or extend the partition without upgrading the "free" software
-
The Seagate software works perfectly for system recognition of 4TB
-
However, upon installing the Seagate HDD as my second drive, the included software AUTOMATICALLY prompted me to specify if this was to be A) a new boot drive, B) a mirror of the existing drive or C) simply a second HDD for additional storage
-
The software provided by Seagate is good but didn't help me with transferring my system from my old drive to the new drive.

Great value, always have had good experience with Seagate and I appreciate their free software that works with their drives.
-
In addition, here on Amazon, I found free software, MiniTool Partition Wizard, which is a *much* better design, with a much clearer user interface that's easier to use and understand
-
Great hard drive and great supplied software.
-
The drive came with all the cables that were needed as well as the software to enable it.
-
this is probably the fastest mechanical drive I've used in a long time!200MB/s which is way faster than the typical 120MB/s and even faster
-
so it doesn't continue to blue screen and return I/O errors.
-
But the 1T filled up quickly, and SSD drives HATE to have little or no room left on them -- they get revenge in really horrible, unpredictable ways
-
What's not to love about a Seagate hard drive and 6T.
-
I love Seagate drives and I love seeing 5.5T available in one internal mount point on a home computer.
-
Plan on doing that next week and hope everything works as I want it
-
It simply works as it should be
