The SWP offers 2 methods of charging: You can charge via the proprietary cable, or the drive also charges itself when it's plugged into a computer
-
I recently lost the proprietary power supply cable that comes with this thing.
-
and it's working using the oem usb 3.0 cable (but it didn't work earlier today with another Seagate USB 3.0
-
using the drive could be a problem should the cable be lost or left at home
-
I'm not certain but it looks like a custom job which scares me if I ever lose this cable
-
I have not done much with this unit yet, but was extremely displeased to see that it uses a proprietary cable to charge the unit, and yet another different proprietary cable to access it via non-wireless
-
Concerned about the strange charging cable.
-
DO NOT LOOSE THIS CABLE as it is the only means you have of charging your battery and is not easily replaceable (I have yet to find one anywhere)
-
The new cable provided an immediate boost to a 60+ MBs transfer rate and no drop outs.
-
My biggest complaint is the weird charging cable that comes with it
-
You need to connect via USB- Proprietary charger cable is a pain
-
As great as this device is, if you lose the cable the unit is worthless
-
I do not fancy carrying around another proprietary cable
-
Presently no one else sells this proprietary cable.
-
Loved this until the cable came loose and now I can no longer use it
-
Means, obsolete - as you can't charge it anymore
-
it worked just as advertised and just as I had expected it to work
-
It works as it is claimed
-
The drive itself is relatively small and works as it should.
-
Followed the instructions at support site, tried SSID with and without pwd, tried installed app as well as through the browser and also did not work
-
This confused me because as soon as it disconnected
