    • If you try to just copy over in windows it will work for about 30 seconds then Windows will not see the Hard Drive and Crashes
    • It's possible you can use other apps with the hard drive, but I haven't looked into that yet

    • Too slow to use as a day to day hard drive but perfectly ok for those occasional use where you are mobile and you need to access a file.
    • I must say that i was really drawn to the concept of a portable hard drive for my iPad and iPhone that I could take on vacation with me.
    • Summary: good hard drive, very poorly designed interface, plug-n-play initial use.
    • I love these wireless hard drives, very easy to use and you can have multiple people downloading from it at the same time.

    • This has not been lost on today's makers of hard drives

    • I love this hard drive
    • : Seagate released a new firmware for the Wireless Plus drive which improved a couple of things : The indexing of the files runs much faster and the drive no longer falls into 'sleep mode'
    • The expectation that, along with the purchase of a simple hard drive coupled with what should be a simple wifi transmitter, I will necessarily have to spend minutes or hours performing deep searches of the Seagate site, deconstructing hysterical rants on user sites to sort out what failures might be present or several torturous days of back-and-forth with tech support that will require multiple presentations of the problem, multiple irrelevant responses, various attempts at forced escalation and, ultimately a low likelihood of a solution (or a recommendation that I change the way I do five other tasks in order to make this one, seemingly simple, product work
    • I will NEVER buy another portable hard drive again unless it has the features this thing has.
    • Streaming is lightning fast, I can scroll through HD movies virtually instantaneously just like an internally connected hard drive

    • I have had several error messages that require me to seek out a file and delete it that does not exist in the folders that are available on the hard drive.

    • Having a hard drive that can be connected to multiple tabelets at once is a god send
    • Great drive.
    • One of the biggest strengths of this reasonably small portable hard drive is that it has a gargantuan amount of space
    • Now I can wirelessly have any of my devices connected to the hard drive and play my music from anywhere in my house
    • It can be a great tool for back-ups and streaming wireless videos or even just a wireless hard drive, but the documentation that comes with it or that which can be found online really is very poor.

    • Seagate recommends a recovery service but they would have to crack open the drive to do their jobs which would once again void the warranty.
    • Great drive, easy to set up, and it works.

    • I tried to power it up for another car trip on December 18th and the hard drive was completely dead.
    • I love the drive and the capacity
    • That way I'd have a fast external hard drive, and would be able to access it from my laptop or iPod Touch
    • So if you just want a fancy hard drive, where you can access your files directly from your mobile devices without needing a cable or a computer as an intermediate then this product may be for you, but you should be wary of its low battery life
    • As the hard drive fills up, it is slow to load the movies.
    • And what this means is that you have to give up your notion of what a hard drive can do
    • Good portable hard drive
    • After a while I figured out it was because I had it connected to the office Wifi, which would sometimes drop, causing the Wireless Plus to reset.)By way of comparison, I also own a HooToo Tripmate, and that connected with a regular hard drive provides considerably longer battery life
    • I like this product on almost all levels except the wifi password somehow changed while the hard drive was not being used and was completely turned off
    • You can plug it into your computer and use it just like an ordinary external hard drive.
    • Im not sure if this is a drive issue or an electronics issue where the logic board is toast

    • Had a brand new Mac Book Air crash when I installed the driver for this hard drive.
    • This little hard drive is amazingly compact considering that it is a 1-TB drive combined with the electronics to make it a Wi-Fi access point and it includes an internal rechargeable battery that keeps the media streaming for about ten hours
    • If you plan to use this WiFi hard drive primarily with a Windows 8 laptop, desktop, or tablet, I would recommend buying a cheaper USB-only hard drive at half the cost for your storage needs.

    • The interesting part was that every single time I checked, the hard drive was not spinning.
    • Documentation of Seagate Wireless Plus says not to reformat the hard drive, yet Seagate's site provides instructions how to.
    • This hard drive is awesome.
    • However, it does not have the same rpm's as your desktop hard drive
    • Normally I like to connect external hard drives directly to get the fastest speed possible, but this device particularly intrigued me for use with my Kindle Fire, which doesn't have the ports needed to connect an external device, and has very limited storage space
    • I purchased a seagate wireless hard drive for this purpose
    • This drive is FUNKY but works well if you follow its rules.

    • I set this up in a squad bay that I live in when I'm at work so that me and other people could view movies instead of swapping hard drives around
    • I mapped the hard drive and it's alot easier to navigate on my PC and also more
    • For a $200 hard drive, I expect a case and car charger-documentation is minimal
    • It may theoretically allow you to have a smaller hard drive on your iPad, but do you really want to lug around an anchor with your iPad?
    • This is my second time I have had this drive fail same issues
    • It's large, works as a self-powered external drive, and as a wireless drive!Notes:- Can't be plugged into USB and do Wi-Fi at the same time

    • This drive failed within the 2 year warranty period and I returned it to Seagate.
    • The hard drive works fine with a direct connection from my computers
    • The 2TB hard drive is more than enough memory and does connect to my devices just fine.
    • ITunes movies from the hard drive of my PC to the portable hard drive and then tried to stream them back to the same PC, my PC said the files were corrupt and would not play.
    • Once again, when streaming mkv files, the debuffing would fail and we'd get skipping and blotchiness (not the most technical term but not sure how else to describe it).The hard drive
    • The drive is much like most portable hard drives small, light-weight…typical.
    • Excellent external hard drive
    • This is not a wireless hard drive
    • Since this hard drive is designed with portability in mind, I wish that it came with a carrying case
    • Excellent external hard drive
    • To say I am disappointed in the quality of the Seagate Wireless Plus Hard Drive is an understatement
    • The drive is much like most portable hard drives small, light-weight…typical.
    • For the money buy yourself a good portable drive and forget this as a wireless drive.
    • I was using the hard drive to stream videos to my idevices and the video quality was excellent.

    • This hard drive is great and fits for what I have been looking for - a large portable & wireless solution that I can carry with me
    • UNTIL....about 3 weeks after using the device, I have the persistent issue of the hard drive locking up/freezing whenever I play a video.
    • Terrible product, the wireless stopped when I did their recommended firmware update, now only works as an external drive
    • I've had nothing but trouble with seagates USB 3.0 hard drives.
    • so I loaded more movies onto the hard drive which also did not show up in the list
    • Also - it seems like this product isn't updated nearly as quickly as the hard-drive only products.
    • I researched some other wifi hard drives - not sure I even want to go this route until things get easier.
    • Use as a portable cloud drive!
    • In order to use it as an external hard drive I have to reboot it manually using a paper
    • The underside of the drive has bowed out so much that the rubber nobs no longer touch, and you can spin the drive like a top on the plastic that is touching the surface of the shelf I have it setting on
    • I have used the wireless hard drive for a couple of weeks now
    • The Case Logic QHDC-101 Portable EVA Hard Drive Case recommended for it DOES NOT FIT!I'm trying the Case Logic JDS-6 USB Drive Shuttle instead - reportedly a tad larger but doesn't show the inside of the case.

    • But until now I've always thought of a hard drive as a computer specific storage device
    • If wifi connectivity+sharing over the network is your thing, you can do the same thing with a hard drive without wifi-Needs to be charged and powered up to access the files
    • They are all now getting the same hard drive as it would be so useful during family trips or even at home when different family members want to watch separate shows or listen to different music
    • I will say that overall this portable drive is awesome
    • 1/2013 - My wife recently purchased the Samsung Note 2 and the Smart Dock and now we only use this as a wired USB hard drive.
    • One annoying problem is when I have the drive connected to my MacBook via USB, the drive would unmount itself during the copy like the drive went to sleep due to inactivity while files are copying
    • I don't appreciate seagate waisting my $200 on that hard drive and I don't appreciate the constant messing things up with IOS updates
    • I have copied a bunch of movies to the drive to use as an external drive for more room for my Mac... and it is not reliable as a wireless drive.
    • The drive is VERY quiet which is important when you have it sitting right next to your ipad on a plane
    • Works fine as long as it is plugged in as a portable drive but not as a wireless portable drive.
    • The drive itself is relatively small and works as it should.
    • Now there are hard drives that plug into the Lightning connection port.

    • Functions as an external hard drive and media playerAble to share with my friends and family at the same timeSecure, so only people I trust gain accessBattery powered, so does not have to be plugged inSmall form factorCons:Gui is a bit sloppy and does not function well for searching and identifying what files can/cannot be played by a device.
    • I bought this device based on the many positive reviews here and my belief that the solid state drives in iDevices just aren't big enough.
    • Unfortunately, this drive does nothing well that a half as cheap drive using a USB connection wouldn't do.
    • and just the drive and the cable and wifi were password protected
    • The case "Case Logic QHDC-101 Portable EVA Hard Drive Case - Black" that is shown as "Frequently bought together" DOESN'T fit this device.
    • All you need is followingSeagate Wireless Plus (rip all videos anything in mp4 format and store it in Hard Drive)Bestek Car Back Seat Headrest Mount Holder with 360 Degree Adjustable Rotating for Ipad/ipad Air/ipad Mini and Other 7" to 11" Tabletshttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015O75W1A?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00A pair of TabletsInstall seagate media App in tabletPair of Nakamichi BTHP06 Wireless
    • While the setup of a Linux box with WiFi in the guise of a wireless hard drive is intriguing, it appears to have been put on the market before development was really completed
    • I can hardly even watch an hour of a video while being wirelessly connected to the seagate hard drive without it shutting down
    • Now with the Seagate Wireless Plus I simply drag and drop the movie files from my desktop computer hard drive to the Wireless Plus, connect the Wireless Plus to the iPads (both at the same time if I want) via a Wi-Fi connection and stream the movies to the iPads
    • I really like this hard drive.
    • The wireless is less useful than you think, especially when for about the same price you can now get very lightweight sold state hard drives to travel with
    • Stopped working after 1 trip (completely bricked - will not even show up under list of hard drives when connected to USB port on PC).
    • It's going back to Amazon Monday in favor of a Silicon Power 2TB Rugged Armor A30 Military Shockproof Standard 2.5-Inch USB 3.0 External Portable Hard Drive for 110.00
    • Sometime the data can't send to the hard drive.
    • First Portable Hard Drive that I have ever owned
    • If you plan to use this WiFi hard drive primarily with a Windows 8 laptop, desktop, or tablet, I would recommend buying a cheaper USB-only hard drive at half the cost for your storage needs.
    • The drive will work with the rest of your computer equipment just like a portable drive would
    • I converted some DVDs to digital form and tried to maintain high quality resolution, but given the hard drive's wireless transfer rate, the video tends to stall and requires constant rebuffering
    • DO NOT BUY THIS HARD DRIVE
    • Love this drive
    • Very nice quality hard drive
    • It's the most inconsistently performing hard drive I've ever owned
    • I cannot view all files when accessing the hard drive using the wifi
    • Seagate also made it so you can use your pc to connect to this hard drive through wifi, but again, anything files you move will happen at a slower speed than using the usb cable.
    • Obviously I'm over the Amazon return policy, so I'm stuck with another wired hard drive.
    • So now the drive seems to be working as advertised.
    • I've had 2 hard drives fail on me over the last 2 years and both have been Seagate products.
    • I would also have to buy a new hard drive to copy the data onto as a working device
    • This is a small compact very-portable hard drive considering that it houses 1-TB of storage space, a Wi-Fi access point, and a rechargeable
    • Love this hard drive as it was a breeze to transfer data...wirelessly.
    • Overall, I like the drive and will buy another one.
    • There must be some hand off between the hard drive and ES PLayer and finally MX Player that requires a faster connection than the wifi connection can output
    • Pretty straightforward setting up the wireless drive and connecting to it for streaming
    • I love this a little hard drive has my movies and music more than enough room for both.
    • This makes it a very expensive hard drive and bulky as well
    • Good portable hard drive
    • So if you just want a fancy hard drive, where you can access your files directly from your mobile devices without needing a cable or a computer as an intermediate then this product may be for you, but you should be wary of its low battery life
    • That way I'd have a fast external hard drive, and would be able to access it from my laptop or iPod Touch
    • Portable wireless drives just have a bit more refining left to do for me to purchase one again.
    • I love this drive
    • I successfully loaded my entire iTunes library on to the hard drive
    • I have numerous portable and desk hard drives, all of them Seagate.
    • my problem did get escalated and Seagate did a lot to help includingaccepting photos instead of returnreplacing it with two simpler cheaper drives that i hope will have better cables.still would not buy the wireless drive.jury still out on the replacements.suggest seagate give better, easier to access online support for users before the equipment fails.up from one to three stars
    • I've only used thumb drives in the past, never really needing a 'real' hard drive due to my last computer being so messed up that I gave up all hope on it, only using it for the internet and music
    • Given that this is one of the only wireless hard drives currently on the open market, I guess I'm just going to have to settle for what it can do.
    • I used this drive as a working hard drive for a 2-week long, intensive video editing project and it worked perfectly
    • A much better way to organize your music on the hard drive is, to create a new iTunes Library that uses the Wireless Plus at it's source
    • The drive refuses to power up
    • One of the biggest strengths of this reasonably small portable hard drive is that it has a gargantuan amount of space
    • You can access files on the hard drive just by wireless connecting to itCons- Small Battery
    • I am so happy I did however, because this little machine is everything a wireless hard drive should be.
    • Since that time, I've had several computers and increased the storage space every time, including changing the hard drive
    • It also prompted the drive to re-index all the files
    • However, I became a wild man and took an extra-large hard drive
    • Now for the criticism: Like most electrical gizmos, it produces heat and this drive can get hot.
    • I love that this hard drive is both it's own wifi hotspot and wireless (rechargeable)
    • In a perfect world, I would have known that this was completely worthless and just purchased a portable hard drive that needed to be plugged in, as that is basically what this is!
    • I love this drive and have downloaded videos, files and music from most of my collection and have hardly put a dent in the space provided
    • When I ordered this wireless portable drive, I had no idea how much I would use this.
    • I think Seagate makes good hard drives but not this one
    • I wound up just plugging the Seagate into that port and just using it as a straight-up hard drive with the file explorer.
    • This worked as a wireless network and hard drive for presentations
    • The theory of the wireless hard drive is great, but the execution of the app, and how you access your content is a bit flawed
    • and I get someone else's sloppy leftovers instead of a brand new drive?
    • I didn't really use it as a portable drive much, but left it connected to a power source because I would store many photos from multiple computers on
    • Getting my device I had to do a firm wear update because the online shipped products were not updated and when I plug it in to a computer it doesn't reed the hard drive as a removable device it pops up in the control panel where printers and devices get
    • It does NOT use the same Type H plug that was used in the Seagate Goflex Satellite external hard drive.
    • That was small compact hard drive with this capacity that included WIFI server and battery operated
    • This drive can not support itself merely by the USB connector
    • Small enough to tuck into my backpack as a portable hard drive that travels everywhere I do.
    • I have use this hard drive for 4 days.
    • This is not a professional, nor dependable drive.
    • I Love this drive.
    • The portable hard drive will hold a charge for 24 hrs and is my only critique of the product since you do have to charge it every evening
    • My main purpose for this hard drive is to save mp4 format of my workouts that I ripped from DVDs and YouTube, connect the hard drive to my iPad / iPhone via wifi and stream the saved workouts to Apple TV to play on my TV
    • Why not the hard drive is not coming with its case from the factory.
    • I would recommend this drive to everyone!
    • The Seagate Wireless Plus is an external hard drive that is designed to allow additional storage to be streamed directly to your laptop, phone, tablet, etc., with the selling point that it can be done wirelessly without the need to connect anything with a cable
    • This may be a great drive for Windows networks but for a wireless network with Macs on it, it is unusable.
    • With other external hard drives (not this one) if the drive overheats it can sometimes loose the data; again I have not experience this with this drive.
    • As a USB 3 device it works fine as an external 2 TB hard drive
    • ) unplug it from your computer (you cannot do a USB connection and WiFi at the same time)5) push the on button on this hard drive and wait 50 seconds for the WiFi software to load up6) download the Seagate Media App7) on your device, connect to the Seagate Wireless WiFi network8) open the Seagate App and play your fileThe supported files are (straight from their user guide):For

    • Awesome Hard drive.
    • I was super excited to get this external hard drive.
    • I will NEVER buy another portable hard drive again unless it has the features this thing has.
    • Properly and robustly indexing huge amounts of media should be a primary function for this device with its large hard drive
    • Hard drive is not spinning.
    • I love this hard drive
    • It is much better to download files like photos, videos, or music you want from the hard drive to your mobile device via the app rather than accessing the files while being connected to the hard drive
    • I was able to rip and transfer my DVDs to this hard drive without much effort.
    • I could not get the Vudu movies that I own to move to the portable hard drive either--they seem to be stuck within the VuduToGo app
    • The video will eventually freeze and i will be unable to get the Seagate software to recognize/connect to the hard drive.
    • As an external hard drive it does what it's supposed to do, it stores data and that seems to work fine
    • To rule out my router I attempted to connect other devices such as an xbox 360 and had no issues connecting to my route, so the issue is the drive
    • Given that you can now transfer information at high speed with USB 3.0, along with networking, hard drives still look attractive
    • Just purchased our new Seagate drive as an upgrade to our GoFlex Satellite but so far the first drive was much better when it comes to organizing the files on the drive
    • The drive is useless if no encryption
    • It would be cheaper and better to simply buy a normal, corded hard-drive.
    • Perfect Drive Easy to Use
    • Excellent hard drive
    • The wireless connectivity works perfect after I update the firmwareI'm happy with this hard drive for me is the best in this category

    • Looking at it from My Computer, you can see that the hard drive disappears for a moment, before reappearing again, i.e., the connection "blinks
    • This is AWFUL costumer service! So if you're interested in a wireless hard drive that will only work for a year and then crap out so that you lose all your media
    • the battery drained and we could not use the drive
    • I can't even use it as a wired external hard drive.
    • Summary: good hard drive, very poorly designed interface, plug-n-play initial use.
    • I love these wireless hard drives, very easy to use and you can have multiple people downloading from it at the same time.
    • However, seeing it's useless as a wireless hard drive, maybe a hot plate is its unseen calling
    • Don't bother trying to reason with customer service because they'll only say their warranty covers the hard drive and not the actual media so they won't recover.
    • I must say that i was really drawn to the concept of a portable hard drive for my iPad and iPhone that I could take on vacation with me.
    • Just took an 8 hours trip, and my two kids, used the hard drive almost the entire time
    • Great hard drive
    • Keep in mind, however that this is a hard drive with a spinning disk inside, so if you're going to put it in your vehicle, put it in a secure place where it won't get bounced around too much
    • Though these gripes are more for the application itself and not the hard drive
    • must have anyone who uses portable hard drives.
    • If I would have known that, I would have just purchased a regular 2 TB portable hard drive
    • That is the only way to be able to access the data from your hard drive.
    • a portable hard drive that I could connect to via wifi from my iPad, MacBook Pro or my wife's Window's 7 laptop
    • That is I will not have to update my iPad to one with more memory as I can take videos, photos, music and any thing else I need on the portable hard drive and not have to have it on my iPad so I can save space for apps and so forth
    • There are also a few mobile apps for this hard drive as well.
    • so I can transfer it to my Macbook and then to the hard drive
    • I can understand that the hard drive would need a battery to generate a wifi signal so that you can connect to it wirelessly

    • Works great! It was very easy for me to transfer all of my movies over to this portable hard drive.
    • generally, it is a great drive, as it has great quality, great transfer speed and nearly great free app
    • If I wouldn't have been able to do that the drive wouldn't have done me any good because that was the main (make space on the ipad) reason I purchased it.
    • The unit will allow me to download movies to the hard drive while connected to my cpu, but if I try to play them back via the wireless feature it doesn't see the file, when I connect the hard drive to my cpu it sees the movies
    • Seagate should not be that much cheap company while charging this price (close to $200) for the hard drive which is also ideally portable.

    • This is a compact light-weight external storage device (i.e. hard drive) for use with PC's or tablet devices
    • Great little drive, but can be a little confusing to set up and to connect to
    • The drive works very well when it is connected by USB, just as you would expect a connected drive but the wireless function is cumbersome
    • Needless to say, I returned the drive.
    • I've been buying Seagate hard drives for years, but this product is a disappointment.
    • An external hard drive that I can access from my iPad, iPhone, all me devices.
    • I purchased a Drive Logic(tm) DL-64 Portable EVA Hard Drive Carrying Case Pouch (Blue) for my Seagate
    • $154 for a 1 TB hard drive is too expensive and we don't need another external hard drive at this time.
    • The tech guy suggested I resample each video in a smaller format so the hard drive could handle it
    • Puzzled by the lack of choices for portable wireless hard drives, I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this hard drive after my $200, month old WD Wireless Passport took a dump on me.
    • I would assume most people looking to buy a Wifi hard drive are more interested in the streaming aspects of the drive
    • I might have done something wrong, but I have owned other external hard drives that worked easier with my MAC
    • Though these features are great and make using the hard drive easy to use, there are still features of this product that can be improve
    • I understand you can't stream DRM movies from the hard drive, I just wanted to save
    • I connected the hard drive to my Ipod Touch while it was connected to my television using Apple's 30-pin Digital AV Adapter.
    • How was I going to play music and movies I had stored on my external hard drives?
    • Terrible product....hard drive itself failed within 2 months and now completely un-usable.
    • The hard drive is easy to set up, and seems to work well with Windows 8 on my desktop
    • I like the hard drive, but I cannot use the app because it does not work with the disability settings/functionality on the iPhone
    • Have been using the Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB portable hard drive for more than 2 years without issue
    • So, let me start off with this was VERY difficult to figure out and get working, but once you do its the one of the most useful hard drives I've owned
    • It's wireless and up to five persons can connect to the hard drive at the same time.
    • I have tried to get my Seagate Wireless Plus working on my Windows 8 laptop for the past few weeks but will now resort to using it as an (expensive) USB drive
    • After iOS 8 was released, Apple no longer allows videos purchased through the iTunes Store to me played thru the hard drive.
    • The drive worked for few months, then it hard hangs though it was used only within home
    • After backing up my movies I re-formatted the Seagate Wireless drive using the MAC Utility and all has worked fine at this point
    • I'm glad that I'm the first posting the review about this excellent WIFI drive
    • A wireless hard drive that syncs with my iPad and plugs into my laptop
    • Great little Hard Drive wish I had it before I bought my phone or tablet
    • By carrying a portable hard drive like this you can stream and watch whole movies
    • The device absolutely works, but so many of the movie buying/renting services like ITunes and Vudu make it very difficult/impossible to move the movies to the portable hard drive and then stream them (particularly if they are resident on a PC).
    • That being said, I cannot give this hard drive more than 1 star, because nearly all of the functions do not work anymore
    • The battery lasted more then 8 hours with 2 users logged into it, streaming constantly, and I had to stop the test before the battery died on the hard drive which was more then I had expected.
    • Overall I'm disappointed that the hard drive doesn't do what I expected it to
    • You can not move things around on the harddrive - imagine you want to re-organize some folders on the hard drive from your ipad, well, you can't
    • my Mac does not even recognize the drive, and if I use a hard wire link it always falls out (the connection into the hard drive is loose)
    • I've owned this hard drive for a couple of months, and it works reasonably well for what it does, however, there are a few annoyances that prevent me from giving it a better rating:1
    • This is a great portable drive for backing up mobile electronics and it does a good job backing up your your computers hard drives as well
    • The idea behind a portable hard drive is that it is - well, portable
    • I figured the painfully slow clunky interface, and the not so "portable" size were the features that befell all wireless hard drives because the technology just wasn't quite there yet
    • Nice hard drive, easy to hook up and use both via USB or wifi
    • I highly recommend this wireless hard drive.
    • The hard drive does work well with my Kindle Fire HD
    • Best hard drive I have ever owned
    • Seagate's only recommendation is to not allow the Hard Drive to connect to the internet
    • The second drive had the same issues!
    • I have two other external hard drives and I've never had a problem with them
    • I will still get a second external hard drive, just to be on the safe side.
    • When connected to this hard drive, it blocks all access to the Internet and vice versa.
    • However, there was hard drive activity for many minutes after the indexing completed and in the space of 2.5 hours, these 3 reboots with their successive indexing and hard drive activity have brought the battery from 100% down to 19%
    • Connected my laptop to the wireless of this hard drive (Battery 100%)
    • I was so excited about the idea of having a wireless hard drive that I was willing to give it a second shot, but never again
    • It works when connected to a PC, so it still functions as a hard drive, it just won't work with the Kindle
    • In general, it is a decent option for a portable hard drive and I might have given it a 3 star rating but the 2TB option is currently only $20 more than this one, so it literally makes no sense to buy it
    • This is an unacceptable and ridiculous bug that renders the device to being simply a plain old external hard drive for backups only
    • They suggested we continue to use it as a portable hard drive for other purposes.
    • Great little hard drive
    • The hard drive is bigger than the case.
    • I, however, bought the hard drive for my IPad Air 2 to store documents for a mobile office, and have not been able to get document apps to work
    • For the field, it would probably be better as a solid-state drive, since that would be a bit better while getting bumped around in airplanes, boats, and in the bottom of my pack.
    • However, when the unit is connected via USB it also charges the internal hard-drive battery.
    • so I have my movies and TV shows loaded on the hard drive.
    • And just as hard drives will become portable and wireless, so other computer components will change just as drastically
    • After waiting for THREE MONTHS after mailing the drive to them, I just got a phone call informing me that the drive, which sat still on a desk for the entirety of its short life, somehow managed to scratch its own internal disk beyond the point of being able to recover any files
    • maybe if the SWP didn't waste it all with unnecessary indexing and hard drive activity.]Beyond the aggravation of indexing described above, there are other problems with the device
    • Also, do to buy Case logic QHDC-101 portable hard drive case.
    • Sometimes it will connect but not recognize a compatible drive being connected, spinning its wheels.
    • I've got all my movies loaded on the hard drive, so my daughter can pick anything she wants to watch on the iPad

    • Generally the drive is good
    • I had this hard drive for 8 months before it became obsolete
    • This is a simple hard drive
    • Finally I conclude that it is a defective drive, because when I duct taped the cable to hold it
    • I attempted to add some movies into the hard drive
    • , I copied 500 GB of files to it, It is fast on my Surface Book's 3.0 USB port. and works great as a corded drive
    • On my last overseas trip, a couple co--workers and I were all able to link to this hard drive and watch separate movies from it without any type of "drag" or buffing issues
    • (you can change the name of the wi-fi and the password in the seagate application) and connect to the wifi generated by the hard drive
    • It works pretty well as a portable hard drive but you can get those for way cheaper than what this costs.
    • It works pretty well as a portable hard drive but you can get those for way cheaper than what this costs.
    • Handy way to free up space on my hard drive and access files from laptop, tablet and iphone not to mention streaming directly to my Apple TV.
    • I just bought the drive and so far it works as advertised.
    • It is an excellent hard drive with long battery life and large storage space.
    • Was awesome used it all through deployment added stuff as I
    • Since 1TB is a whole lot of data to lose I wouldn't even chance it
