Seagate Wireless Plus 2TB Portable Hard Drive with Built-in WiFi (STCV2000100)

    • I cannot fathom how Seagate push to their client its buggy unglorified FTP interface instead of just explaining that this drive can wirelessly connect to your computer using native Samba (a robust multi platform file protocol) and DLNS for all everything multimedia.
    • interface was easywifi works the majority of the time with very seldom connection issues if anyEasy to Binge watch while others are still connected to it
    • No silly program or interface between your computer and this drive.
    • Summary: good hard drive, very poorly designed interface, plug-n-play initial use.
    • Poor user interface, but most damningly, it doesn't seem to have been designed with its prime purpose in mind
    • Would get 5 stars, needs a bit of tweaking to be more user friendly (user interface), meets expectations and holds tons of movies
    • Thankfully, the interface is almost exactly like the Android
    • All of this would add up to an amazing way to extend the storage of an iPhone, iPad, Android device, or computer if only it didn't have some serious drawbacks with indexing; glitches with the wifi; and horrible interfaces and missing features of the mobile/web apps used to interact with your stored media
    • Try another brand with a more user friendly interface.
    • You buy an iDevice for the great user interface.
    • I can think of no other reason for the clunky, tedious interface when it comes to interacting with music
    • Like the phone app, the interface was an absolute disaster.
    • its interface falls short by a long shot
    • Lackluster performance, crappy interface, constant crashing.
    • Like the phone app, the interface was an absolute disaster.
    • Yeah, it's bigger because it's wrapped in METAL, and although it has an UGLY interface, it actually PLAYS your media files.
    • Very convenient but user interface could be simplified a little bit.
    • If it wasn't for the poorly designed wireless interface this unit would get 5-stars
    • The interface is buggy and there is no bookmarking capability.
    • Then I dutifully upgraded the firmware to version 2.1.0.014.Background:When you fire up the app after a synchronization, the app detects the changes somehow and updates the index and meta data for the recently added photos, videos, and music in order to create an image of the item for the very nice user interface and enabling us to select or scan through the images.
    • The interface is not difficult to figure out
    • From the iDevice perspective, the interface is clumsy (unusable; barely) and not intuitive.
    • The interface via the app is beautiful.
    • The interface is incredibly clunky and in order to use this device you will need to connect to it's own virtual network
    • the interface is a little confusing and the range is pretty short, but I do like
    • Not only do you have this great storage capacity in a compact, lightweight, and rather handsome device, but its user friendly interface with your computer (either drop-and-drag or use USB connection to transport computer-stired files to the Seagate) makes it easy to move media from its "permanent location to a mobile one
    • Seagate could improve the app interface a little so that it's easier to figure out how to copy/move files to and from the drive
    • From the iDevice perspective, the interface is clumsy (unusable; barely) and not intuitive.
    • Con's: Still has a clunky interface after several years
    • and I don't like the interface at all
    • The interface is old and everything's just slow
    • Awesome idea, poor user interface for wireless system
    • I figured the painfully slow clunky interface, and the not so "portable" size were the features that befell all wireless hard drives because the technology just wasn't quite there yet
    • The interface is definitely overkill in terms of graphical user interface, some may like it, I found it distracting.
    • The APP has a good interface with thumbnail previews
    • The interface of the 1TB was perfect
    • Not only do you have this great storage capacity in a compact, lightweight, and rather handsome device, but its user friendly interface with your computer (either drop-and-drag or use USB connection to transport computer-stired files to the Seagate) makes it easy to move media from its "permanent location to a mobile one
    • Interface on iPad is not easy to access
    • Was awesome used it all through deployment added stuff as I
    • Since 1TB is a whole lot of data to lose I wouldn't even chance it
    • Means, obsolete - as you can't charge it anymore
    • it worked just as advertised and just as I had expected it to work
    • It works as it is claimed
    • The drive itself is relatively small and works as it should.
    • Followed the instructions at support site, tried SSID with and without pwd, tried installed app as well as through the browser and also did not work
    • This confused me because as soon as it disconnected
