I cannot fathom how Seagate push to their client its buggy unglorified FTP interface instead of just explaining that this drive can wirelessly connect to your computer using native Samba (a robust multi platform file protocol) and DLNS for all everything multimedia.

Summary: good hard drive, very poorly designed interface, plug-n-play initial use.
