    Seagate Wireless Plus 2TB Portable Hard Drive with Built-in WiFi (STCV2000100)

    • If you want a good streaming hard drive, that you can take with you and play full length movies, you might wanna look elsewhere.
    • In my case, streaming worked reliably for about 4 hours.
    • Once you enter your Wi-Fi SSID and password, you can connect to this drive wirelessly with your PC- Pass through internet lets you be connected to this drive and the internet but this slow streaming.
    • They are also excellent when streamed from a different brand wireless drive

    • Pros:-Fast streaming speeds: instantly plays videos, no lag,-very responsive when jumping to the middle of the video-Fast data transfer speeds over wired connection: I transferred 2gb file in less than 30 sec-Multiple connections: tested 4 parallel connections with streaming, no issues-Works well across iOS and android platforms: used on my 2 iPads and 2 android phonesCons:-Wifi connectivity is little flaky sometimes

    • It is blatantly false advertising to say that this streams to Apple products because it 100% does not do so (it is apparently a DRM issue).
    • Pretty sure that it does not support streaming all video files or perhaps it is only with IOS devices like the ipad,Another caveat with the ipad is that files cannot be uploaded to this drive with the ipad, while my Android has no problems over SMBI have not really tested battery life as the most I've had this running is 2-3 hours

    • This is not Seagate's fault, but iOS 8 no longer supports iTunes DRM Video playback through streaming devices like this.
