I bought this selfie stick to use as a tripod for my cellphone--with the exception of optical zoom, my cell phone takes better photos than my dedicated point and shoot camera.

The remote is an interesting concept, but even if I were able to keep hold of the handle, having the handle in one hand and the remote in the other doesn't really make for a good photo
