    Sennheiser HD 380 PRO Headphones

    • I did expect more attenuation of ambient noise since they cover the whole ear, but I still hear most everything going on in the room around me.
    • The description says, "Closed, circumaural design for excellent passive attenuation of ambient noise (up to 32 dB
    • My complaint with the HD 380 Pro is that I believe the 32dB ambient noise attentuation is very overstated.
    • The headphone by itself blocks out ambient noise well
    • You can hear what's happening in the room, but you can also hear the audiobook, in spite of ambient noise
    • They fit over the ear, and do a decent job blocking ambient noise
    • Other than that, they feel good around the ears and sound great; although, strangely, my voice sounds muffled when I speak with them on but the ambient noise in the room doesn't sound muffled even though it is quieter.
    • The HD 380 Pro blocks out so much ambient noise that we can have loud conversations *about* employees who are listening to music, making sure to drop their names every sentence, and they usually won't even notice that anyone is there just 10 feet behind them talking about
    • but I feel as though it's an accurate reproduction sound yet not as good as for example a beyerdynamic custom one pro which is twice the
    • I haven't tested against my Yeti mic to see, but I presume this will minimise any leakage outwards, just as well as it isolates you from sounds coming inwards
    • I found them extremely uncomfortable and had to return for that reason...even as great as they sounded just could not get past the pressure they put on my head and ears..and as a point of reference I have a pretty normal head...or at least I think I do
    • To make things worse the earpads squeak as you move your head around
    • I have tested them on master material and raw, comparing as I said to the other headphones as well as compared them with ADAM A7X monitors and Dynaudio BM6a monitors
    • But for my classic R&B and soul tracks they are perfect
    • All in all this cans are very sturdy - AND VERY LIGHT - and this again compare to any of the cans i mentioned above - again if it would not be for strong clamping power i would keep them as spare headphones for my Shure 1540 - also Senheiser HD 380 Pro is good as portable - i like the cord and that this cans can be folded and very nice travel case

    • I wish Sennheiser’s would fix that issue
