    Sennheiser HD 380 PRO Headphones

    • The bass is incredible on these puppies
    • Along with the clean bass, I noticed I can listen to these for hours without suffering from listening fatigue, which can only be attributed to the very accurate detail.
    • Some brands like to boost the bass, and some of the mid range sounds are not discernible
    • Bass is solid and firmly present, but I wish the mids were a little more forward.
    • The bass is not overpowering, but quite good, especially the deeper bass.
    • They also add false bass into the music but could be EQ down a bit and sound pretty good
    • I got them as a replacement because the headband was falling apart on the 280s and these supposedly have better bass response and a clearer sound
    • Good but lacks bass
    • Oh the bass is just phenomenal
    • The Klipsch's had much better clarity than the Apple earbuds at the mid to high end, but bass was still lacking (this is usually a problem with earbuds, and I don't hold it against the S4is)
    • I rate 4 stars because i think the bass and isolation can be better, but is very good
    • If you like heavy bass to light treble in headphones then these probably aren't for you
    • Comfortablecan handle very loud bass with precisionnice cable
    • I wouldn't recommend these for djing either as the bass is not hyped enough
    • However, after playing several bass heavy songs (try Bass Test - Feel The BASS!) seems the Sennheiser's bass is deeper, more like a subwoofer, although supposedly this is electronically enhanced.
    • There's no jacked up bass like many of the units sold now, but these hit cleanly across their entire response range, down to pretty much sub-aural frequencies
    • They have good bass and mid-range, and clear highs, without the often inherent piercing 3K to 4K frequency range
    • The bass was definitely represented very well, but not boosted like the mm226 or HD-439 would do
    • They don't artificially boost the bass (you can do that in EQ)
    • These headphones give a good, accurate representation of the source material, though they can't handle extra heavy bass, nor to they pique the high end
    • These headphones sound great, and offer some good deep bass.
    • But since the bass is enhanced, the highs have to be EQed up to match the lows
    • The highs sparkle, the mids are crystal clear and the bass is just right
    • The bass is really great
    • PROS:- balanced enough to preserve detail with enough bass to be fun.
    • The bass is powerful while at the same time all sounds remain crystal clear
    • Take into consideration that the are very versatile headphones, however there were not designed to boost the bass on a song as most headphones on the market but they do their job with honors
    • Good bass and high frequencies, and good midrange imaging
    • These are not headphones for those of you seeking exciting-sounding highs and skull-rattling bass, these are relatively neutral-sounding, which is the point
    • They sound great for the music I listen to, with rich bass, without being muddy or overpowering
    • I was a bit turned off by the report of minimal bass, I do rather like strong bass, but these DO have that--solid, supported, strong bass
    • The hd 380s seem to be free of any notable resonances; the bass is fantastically dynamic and continuous with the midrange
    • 380 has the worst bass among these 4 headphones, but the best feeling of space
    • Deep, resonating bass, clear mids and articulate highs make these headphones exceptionally solid for the price.
    • But the extended frequency range of the HD380 means you get plenty of good clean bass the Seenheiser way
    • Solid bass without being overpowering and rich highs.
    • Good bass, clean mids and treble
    • While these have good bass, they dont have the best bass I ever heard on headphones
    • Pros:- Excellent response range- very clean audio and mostly flat EQ- relatively easy to drive at only 60 ohms- fold up flat-wise better than the HD 280s- good bass reproduction (not in the "Beats" bass torturing
    • I don't listen to rap, hip hop, or techno music, so excellent bass was not that essential, but it was definitely lacking
    • I tried them with the little bit of Hip Hop that I own and the bass was great - but if you enjoy bass dominating the music go elsewhere.
    • The bass was definitely represented very well, but not boosted like the mm226 or HD-439 would do
    • so I don't know how they'll handle the exaggerated bass but everything from Coltrane to
    • THE LOW BASS IS GREAT
    • These phones do have good lower bass response, but also have a clear mid/upper bass "dip" and a very predominate upper midrange accentuation
    • The bass in these headphones is excellent as well
    • I believe the overall sound quality to be a good step up from the HD280s, especially in the clarity of their generous bass response
    • Clear Bass
    • Sounds great, good bass !
    • In my opinion the bass are very good and even if this headphones are passive the noise isolation is excellent
    • Do not expect these to sound having super bass sounds like skull candy, or sol ...whatever
    • Headphones cannot physically deliver the full body impact of low bass, but these do provide a reasonably good bass sound, tight and not muddy
    • Same highs (if not slightly better), better midrange, and far deeper and more accurate bass
    • The little bass that is there though is super
    • Nice bass, clear vocals
    • Not enough bass for my taste
    • it has a nice balanced bass
    • These headphones provide more-than adequate bass and sub-bass which makes hip-hop and electronic/dubstep music sound great.
    • The bass was perfect, the clarity was perfect
    • And the bass on this headphones is the best I've heard
    • And while the bass is quite warm there is still some detail
    • The bass is not overpowering, but quite good, especially the deeper bass.
    • Some headphones will boost the bass or treble a bit (or way too much) giving each set its own character
    • Lovely, rounded bass response, honeyed mids and crisp but not sharp highs mark this set of cans as a must-have for the audiophile on a budget.
    • Let's be straight, these are fantastic headphones that still have enough bass to have presence.
    • Using with FiiO E11 amp, which has way more power than these headphones need and provides ridiculous bass
    • The sound was crisp, clear, warm and rich and bass was strong but not overbearing
    • I'm not a bass head but good bass is important factor for me
    • For general reference listening, I don't find the extended bass objectionable, even on classical and jazz as was reported here by another listener (it could be easily rolled out).
    • With bass this deep, it is nearly impossible to exaggerate the bass, so ultimately the headphones with the more powerful bass is the one with the better deep bass.
    • Pros: if positioned right, you get amazing natural neutral balanced sound (not bass boosted), great clarity, comfortable, lightweight, good isolation, very easily driven by portables, very sensitive and efficient (portables' batteries last longer), accommodates large ears, removable cable
    • Satisfying bass
    • bass is nice and clean
    • The audio is reproduced in the most true way possible; no warming, bass enhancement, or anything like that - just pure sound
    • Solid bass, but not overpowered3
    • My ears are too old to tell accurately, but I know what I like, which includes solid bass, without sounding boomy
    • Bass was not impressive, but probably accurate
    • the bass sounds great, its not over
    • But mids and upper bass are relatively weak and thin, and even though it has more bass response, punch is weaker than HD380.HD380 pro is also closed phone but designed for professional use like studio mixing or mastering
    • These things almost are noise-cancelling, but with anything going through them, I can't hear my surroundings at all.-- Great bass - I've had problems in the past with listening to music that sounds "tinny" due to the headphones not handling lows well, but this one does a great
    • I might feel like the bass is still to emphasized but that could just be me.
    • They even punch your stomach with the correct bass fed into them-something most headphones don't do
    • Good bass, clear mids, and crisp highs
    • Bass can only be boosted so far
    • BassI was worried when i read that the bass is nonexistent but after getting my own pair, and after only a few hours of pink noise, the bass was nothing sort of weak
    • then all that drowned in a big sloppy bass that completely ruins it for me.(I went with AKG 551 instead.)
    • Far superior to the Audio-Technica which I returned because of the bad fit and unnatural bass.
    • The bass is clearer but not as rich and resonant as the 280s, but it is overall louder with more direction.2
    • The only reason that I still listen to the Senn's with music with a lot of mid to high bass is that the rumble of the busses dampen the exaggerated bass; however, once I step off the bus, I always wish that I was listening to the Shure's.
    • I noted they lack bass
    • The sound is pleasant and not irritating, bass is adequate for acoustic music, but HF is veiled
    • The bass is perfect also.
    • The bass is rich, and I was able to hear subtle pops in an old vinyl recording
    • Very comfortable, very smooth, capable of strong deep bass low price.
    • Shure SRH840 - Great sound, smooth accurate bass, CLEANER SOUND, nice fit, solid buildSennheiser HD380 - Great sound, ENHANCED BASS, tighter fit, larger cans, less solid build
    • This has enough bass for the more contemporary jazz that requires it, while still giving me clear highs and mids that make them great for chamber music
    • Compares very well with my HD600 headphones with better bass.
    • At first, I thought the bass was too soft, but now I realize that it is merely accurate, not over-blown like a lot of headphones are
    • Bass was decent, but vocals and mids seemed distant and unpronounced
    • With bass this deep, it is nearly impossible to exaggerate the bass, so ultimately the headphones with the more powerful bass is the one with the better deep bass.
    • That's not to say if you have an EQ on your device you can't enhance the bass and such (I have taken full advantage of an EQ to optimize the sound to my liking) - plus, the cord is coiled so it's not really all in the
    • Bass is really good
    • But for my classic R&B and soul tracks they are perfect
    • but I feel as though it's an accurate reproduction sound yet not as good as for example a beyerdynamic custom one pro which is twice the
    • I haven't tested against my Yeti mic to see, but I presume this will minimise any leakage outwards, just as well as it isolates you from sounds coming inwards
    • I found them extremely uncomfortable and had to return for that reason...even as great as they sounded just could not get past the pressure they put on my head and ears..and as a point of reference I have a pretty normal head...or at least I think I do
    • To make things worse the earpads squeak as you move your head around
    • I have tested them on master material and raw, comparing as I said to the other headphones as well as compared them with ADAM A7X monitors and Dynaudio BM6a monitors
    • I wish Sennheiser’s would fix that issue
    • I wish Sennheiser’s would fix that issue
