    Sennheiser HD 380 PRO Headphones

    • No removable cable (Apparently the cable is replaceable with a mini audio to 8.5mm cable)-No volume control/mic (and no way to add one close to your head)First and
    • The coiled cable is a pain; sitting on the couch barely 9 feet from the receiver and the cable tugs at the headphones, so I have to pinch the cable between my feet to put some slack in it
    • It's very distracting, and for these reasons I replaced them with these - ( Genuine Replacement Cable for SENNHEISER HD570 HD590
    • The fact that the audio cable is replaceable in the event it ever gets damaged was a real plus for me because its bound the get damaged at some point even though the cable itself is of great quality
    • However it's the cable great for recording
    • great sound but heavy coiled cable.
    • In addition, they are comfortable, look and feel premium enough, have a detachable cable, and don't leak
    • Genuine Replacement Cable for SENNHEISER HD570 HD590
    • Having a coiled cable is good because it's able to expand when you need and contract when you're right next to the plug; this cable might be an issue for some, since the cable IS HEAVIER than most straight cables
    • I always liked the sound and isolation of the 280, but disliked the heavy, coiled cable and extreme tightness on my head
    • The cable is not removable/replaceable, but it is a perfect length for carrying in your pocket AND for having room to leave them plugged into your computer while grabbing something across a small room.
    • Even if the cable is damaged, a replacement cable can be purchased and the cans need not be replaced.{The Sound}After wearing it, the sound isolation is great
    • Nice case, heavy cable, ok sound, not very clear base, leaking too much sound, but that's not all
    • Very comfortable headphones, I love the included travel case and higher quality headphone cable.
    • Highly recommend buying the separate mini cable as well.
    • posts on head-fi.org (which I definitely recommend, as they had audiophiles FAR more knowledgeable than me) and was looking for a pair of closed headphones, that had a fantastic sound for almost any kind of music, had a detachable cable
    • (still no luck finding a factory straight cable for this headset)
    • I move my head or bump the cable
    • They come with a detachable cable, stereo mini on one end with a stereo micro plugged into the left earpiece.
    • More comfortable, more ergo-dynamic, better sounding (actually can't really tell much difference but audiophiles say so), easy replaceable cable
    • The detachable cable is great as well.
    • I love the optional, thinner, lighter replacement cable over the coiled one that came with the phones and I'm happy I spent the money
    • I should say, I don't like *any* coiled cable
    • Great headphones tough its cable was damaged
    • Cons - Really, the only con is the cable
    • These phones came to last, with replaceable cable, earpads, even and replacement phone/speaker

    • The cable is durable and not cheap feeling, at least
    • Regardless, the case they come with is nice and flat, and the cable feels extremely durable (though the lack of a detaching cable is a bummer)Criticisms about form-factor aside, I absolutely couldn't stand to keep using these
    • (but I know the internet has a massive hard on for the M50 line), but I went with the Sennheisers because I had previously owned the Audio-Technica ATH-M30's, and while they were very clear sounding, they were remarkably quiet, the long cable was a royal pain in the ass and after an hour or
    • Replaceable cable, although uses a proprietary socket on the headphone, if you want something uncoiled your best bet is to buy a replacement cable and splice a straight cable onto the socket
    • I bought these head phones about 3 months ago and the sound quality was absolutely fantastic and I would have highly recommended these to anyone looking for a good pair of closed, over ear head phonesI originally posted that these headphones died, but it turns out the cable is detachable from the phones, which I did not know, and the cable itself was loose
    • TO MUSIC!The detachable cable is a huge plus,
    • My only real complaint is the cable and finding an alternate cable to the coil cable included has been trouble, they say some of the other sennheiser models have such cables, but they're sold separately in some distant website stores and at least for me have been hard to find
    • The cable that is connected to the headset is not ideal, it would be better it is were removable, but it's ok
    • The detachable cable and carrying case are nice compliments to the headphones
    • The detachable cable and carrying case are nice compliments to the headphones
    • I like the detachable cable for easy replacement if I get it hung up on something.[Hopefully not
    • Reasons I prefer the 380 over the 280:- Removable/replaceable cable

    • I don't like the coiled cable,
    • The only thing that i don't really like is the cable
    • but I feel as though it's an accurate reproduction sound yet not as good as for example a beyerdynamic custom one pro which is twice the
    • I haven't tested against my Yeti mic to see, but I presume this will minimise any leakage outwards, just as well as it isolates you from sounds coming inwards
    • I found them extremely uncomfortable and had to return for that reason...even as great as they sounded just could not get past the pressure they put on my head and ears..and as a point of reference I have a pretty normal head...or at least I think I do
    • To make things worse the earpads squeak as you move your head around
    • I have tested them on master material and raw, comparing as I said to the other headphones as well as compared them with ADAM A7X monitors and Dynaudio BM6a monitors
    • But for my classic R&B and soul tracks they are perfect
    • It's the quick deterioration of the phones ear cups and plastic L/R headphone components falling off (more than they obviously should).
