These phones are good in the many ways other reviewers have mentioned (I particularly appreciate the roomy ear cups), but I can't help being irritated by the way the cord conducts (not electrically but acoustically) the sounds of any bumping or rubbing that may occur while in use (i.e. to the left side where the cord connects)

These phones are comfortable enough to keep on while web surfing, for example, but unless you're listening to some audio program you will instead be listening to the squeaks and thumps of the cord in the manner of the acoustic conduction and focusing of a tin can and string

Yes, the phones drown out some noise, but, not everything...so, for those that sing, or are looking for complete quiet, these might not isolate noise as much as you like.
