Sennheiser HD 600 Open Back Professional Headphone

    • Orchestral and other classical music recordings sounded superb, with a rich, detailed mid-range
    • have better clarity, detail, and obviously sound staging. .
    • The detail of different instruments, especially quiet details seemed to be gobbled up and not properly produced
    • I bought 2-3 years ago, and later sold (warm & "smooth" & enjoyable, but not enough detail for mixing)
    • The clarity of the music, the detail and nuances are outstanding
    • Have these paired with a Teac HA-P50-R TEAC Portable Headphone Amplifier and am still going through my music library right now just to hear every detail in songs that I have been missing using lesser headphones
    • The low end improved and every quiet detail was bought
    • Fantastic detail and clarity
    • The detail was not much better than other headphone that cost around 60-100 dollars
    • I bought 2-3 years ago, and later sold (warm & "smooth" & enjoyable, but not enough detail for mixing)
    • I purcased these and was simply blown away with the outstanding detail, exeptionally comfort, and surprising bass quality
    • Amazing details
    • The audio quality is superb, with good detail and extremely flat response.
    • Although there has not been sufficient time for burn-in the phones are superbly accurate (especially in the midrange: vocals, woodwinds, etc.) as well as in the wonderfully detailed highs (in an odd turn of events I happened to find that the HD 600 was not much less in the highs than my Koss electrostatics)
    • However, the treble is also not as detailed as other headphones that have a more balanced treble.-Detail:When listening to the HD600s, I often struggle to find microdetails in recordings such as when the vocalist takes a breath, but instrument detail is fairly well done
    • Rolling the treble lends a "warmer" and slightly less detailed sound that'll flatter music mastered "hot" (with compressed dynamic range to make everything sound loud) or with an excessive treble bias
    • I can only assume some flaw in my previous headphones covered these details up without being noticeable
    • Rolling the treble lends a "warmer" and slightly less detailed sound that'll flatter music mastered "hot" (with compressed dynamic range to make everything sound loud) or with an excessive treble bias
    • These headphones sounded very good with linear sound and excellent detail.
    • Their most remarkable sonic characteristics are balanced, natural tonality and the presence of remarkable detail and transparency
    • High end: slippery (if using a pre-amp, keep it just below nill to avoid sibilance distortion.), extreme detail will be available to those listening to analog playback (especially LP's) due to the fact that the ambient room sound of the recording session includes much more detail than digital recording (as of 2017) is able to capture
    • the clarity and details in the music
    • The K812 has even greater clarity and detail and maybe sounds more bass-neutral, but the difference is not worth $700-1000 more
    • The speed of attack creates a terrifically detailed, textured presentation.
    • These headsets will show you how much detail you can actually hear from your music, but not quite enough to make you feel 100% satisfied
    • What I CAN say, even with diminished hearing, is that these are very "detailed" (not bright) and "fast" (attack and decay nuances are present so multi-layered vocals and background embellishments are quite clear - no mud at all) and I would never have expected this sort of performance in headphones that cost no more than these do.
    • Let me be clear, HD 600 is dead-on accurate and precise with outstanding detail and airiness
    • They have good clean detail, and seem pretty even across the frequencies, which I appreciate
    • This makes it sound smoother and more detailed for me, but experiment your own positions to find what's best for you.
    • The detail of sound and clarity you get is unmatched, Sennheiser is a great brand and as with everything if you take care of them they will be with you for quite some time
    • but they are VERY GOOD, fairly neutral, having just a slightly dark presentation with good detail and unexaggerated, taut bass.
    • I have around 7 pair of professional/audiophile headphones and these are as good as it get's in my opinion
    • i really wanted a very nice pair of headphones for checking my mixes on as well as for listening to music on without throwing off my ears
    • In short: These are as good as it gets -IF- if your reason for wanting headphones doesn't include recording
    • I use these in my home studio for late-night composing and mixing, as well as for pure enjoyment.
    • These headphones handle it all as well as you can imagine, and will expose items in your favorite songs you had never heard before.
    • Not to mention their open-back design and 300 ohms of impedance mean you shouldn't be using them while traveling, though this doesn't bother me as I use the at home
