Fortunately, most people would use an external cable box or a streaming media device that comes with its own remote so you wont even have to keep this awful remote around.

If the remote (I use it just for turning the set on and off and the sound up and down when the 5.1 is off) is an issue for you then you'll need to spend 2-3 hundred dollars more of your money for another brand

The remote on the Sharp is a JOKE.

Certainly they aren't as good as my sound bar, but they are far better than any other TV I have purchased in recent memory, and I'd have no issue using them for regular TV watching if need be (but still prefer my sound bar).The TV itself comes with a remote and an "IR-Blaster" with USB extension cable, useful if you have other equipment in a cabinet and you want t extend the reach of your other remote controls

Others have mentioned this JOKE of a remote with the Sharp, and it is, by far, the worst remote I have ever used

Something that shocked me though is the remote for the tv actually controls my Amazon fire stick, I didn’t set it up to do it or anything, I was just browsing videos on the fire stick and didn’t even realize I was using the wrong remote until my girlfriend pointed it out to me, I tried it and the same thing happened with my nexus

The web browser is very unfriendly because you're expected to use a flimsy remote that doesn't have a keyboard or number pad...

So you'll get more quality time with that GOD FORSAKEN REMOTE manually turning on the tv every time the screen saver kicks in.
