We found out the hard way (calling Amazon, then calling Sharp) that Sharp does NOT have any agreement with Amazon Instant Video and that services is NOT built in to the apps on this TV - or any other Sharp TV, either!
Sharp does not stand behind their products or appreciate your patronage.
Straight out of the box set up with ease and a picture that brings life to the television with amazing vivid, rich, and deep colors that will be sure to impress.
The colors are vibrant, images are crisp, and this TV has some of the deepest blacks I've seen on a television
The picture is very good, but the viewing angle window for vivid color is only about 45 degrees left or right of center which is typical for LED TV's.
The colors and picture are awesome after some tweaking.
We set up the TV and noticed the colors were too dark, the screen kept flickering time and again(major drawback), the 4K quality was not at all good, even House of cards on Netflix looked as if it played in HD quality
When it works this TV is beautiful, and I've remedied the lack of apps with a Sony blu-ray player that has Amazon Instant Video and a bunch of other apps, so that is not such a big deal
After multiple additional calls back to Sharp and a great deal of confusion about how the issue could be occurring, they finally agreed to send another replacement
a few days ago it was $900.It appears I still got a decent deal
I got a great deal on this tv which makes it even better.
The deal seemed to good to be true after ordering I keep expecting to get told sorry computer
It began with dark “U” shape from top in to the upper portion of screen.
Thank you Sharp and Amazon for providing an exceptional product at a friendly affordable price
As a result of this experience, I will never buy a Sharp product!
I have to say this led 4k TV set is great for the price advertised, however I do understand that the are alot of customer reviews stating that this TV is trash or a bad product, but the truth is the TV is 4k STANDARD RIGHT!
I've been a fan of Sharp products for a while, so I was excited to try out something from their 4K line

We got our Sharp Aquos 50 inch 5K @ best buy @ the original price of $699.99 then after a few days best buy had this on sale for $
Summary:if all the lack of features weren’t enough of a turn off for you, Sharp rubs salt in the wound, I went instore to test out some of the more expensive $3000+ sharp tv’s and they ALL have every one of the features missing from this tv functional and working on them, which means they either intentionally cut them from this model or they are just in no rush to get updates
We love this TV; our experiences over the years with Sharp Aquos have been great, and this is no exception

Budget 4K - Miracast - You can stream media files through your home network over WiFi - Minimal bezel - Sound quality is great (for a large screen with downward firing speakers) - 4 HDMI ports + 2 USBMIDDLE - Wallpaper mode is a neat yet silly feature
The smart features of this set also leave something to be desired
The remote gets a bad rap, its wonderful, small and the smart tv features are very snappy and responsive.
Another annoying feature is that you cannot rename the inputs.

I should have bought the LG 49", a little more cash but better picture and quality
The Netflix big button in the middle is great the quality is amazing with this TV

First off - the most important aspect - picture quality - the Sharp - at least the one I got - is way behind the Vizio
On the other hand, the sound quality is poor, so plan on buying a soundbar or using a surround sound system with this TV.The Smart Central 3.0 system for streaming from various apps is less than ideal.
I called sharp customer service and they refused to even make a case number because it is out of their warranty period.
Since I was well past the department store's return policy deadline I was faced with the difficult task of dealing with Sharp horrendous customer service

Will turn itself off during the power on stage, and Sharp customer service is terrible.
I have spent hours with Sharp customer support service troubleshooting the issue of the upgraded getting stuck without allowing me to watch TV.
Now for the TV as mentioned the Smart apps are slow, the remote is cheap and viewing angle is pretty limited but for our needs of basically sitting within a reasonable distance and pretty much directly in front of the tv, this Ultra 4K is as good as its Sony and Samsung counterparts
The youtube app work flawless, the other apps seemto work ok for now
There are only a few worthy apps with 4K capability: Youtube, Netflix and Vudu
My biggest problem is that the "smart" features are anything but, you get the netflix app and that's about it for usable apps
I added a Roku premier+ to overcome the lack of smart tv apps and the really lousy remote
but besides I think the wrong screws for the legs it look and acks like a Brand-new TV , I'm very very happy and would tell anyone looking for a great tv for a cheap tv price this is it
Extremely happy with this tv, it has surpassed all expectations, beautiful picture (and beautiful price)!
but I am referring to the msrp of the tv which is $1300, and that asking price is just downright disgusting for this striped down tv, for that price there are literally over 50 other 4k
Otherwise the tv is fabulous and a great price at $549 for the 50".
I paid $449.00 for the TV and feel that was a good price.
Overall, it works well, the sound is fine for a TV (if you want loud sound by a sound bar), and the TV has all the functions I would expect except a lack of Picture in Picture.

My only downside is the sound, but who doesn't have a sound bar or sound system for their TVs nowadays anyway
The buttons make this very loud "click" sound when you press them
We could not be more impressed with the picture and the sound is great too
, i have always heard about input lag, this is my firt time experiencing it, so use game mode.
I use it solely as a home theater and don't do any gaming with it, so input lag is not a concern for me
n’t work very
the tv really does look good, unfortunately you have to use it in the game mode to prevent too much input lag and the game mode isn’t the prettiest of modes, it is darker and a bit more washed out
, my ps4 actually looked really good on the tv, input lag was a big issue though, in gaming mode I had
