I am extremely impressed with my Sharp MD player/recorder.

No USBNo backlit lightButtons are not the most intuitiveIt's too bad MD hasn't caught fire in the US

So the next affordable md was this one

I originally wanted the Sharp md 821. ... sold out and never got anymore

However, I found that the sharp MD player is not as durable as many other brands such as Sony.
