Reviews around sound (5.00 of 5)

  • The sound is great but be aware if you plan to do more with it than listen to it in your home.
  • This player/recorder has terrific sound, lots of features, and is very simple to operate (you do, of course, have to read the book)
  • This player has wonderful sound, better than a CD player
  • The sound of these recorders is great, and the functions are very useful
  • Although I didn't expect to, I like the sound of the headphones, and I find them surprisingly comfortable, although I don't usually listen for more than an hour at a time.

Reviews around minidisc (5.00 of 5)

  • The Sharp's MDSR60S Portable Minidisc Player/Recorder is definately a good buy
  • Other than that, if you're looking for a good minidisc player, this is a good one to get
  • I was having the same problem until, through divine intervention, I happened to fall upon the Sharp Minidisc and its world of posibilities.
  • I would deffinetally recomend Sharp's MDSR60S Portable Minidisc Player/Recorder

Reviews around model (5.00 of 5)

  • I recommend this model completely.
  • Oh yeah, I don't think that the Sharp is making this model anymore, but if you can find it, buy it.
  • I would say that this is one of the better models

Reviews around buy (5.00 of 5)

  • The Sharp's MDSR60S Portable Minidisc Player/Recorder is definately a good buy
  • Despite the fact that it has terrible battery life this is definetaly a good buy,it has a user friendly setup and naming the tracks is simple
  • For this price and the options this unit offers, this is a best buy.

Reviews around quality (4.45 of 5)

  • The sound quality is excellent, the recording length is great and the design is stylish.
  • The quality is excellent, way better than any cassette deck
  • The sound quality is outstanding, and the supplied cables were perfect for me, although I did use a miniplug to miniplug cable that I already had to dub from my portable CD player
  • then stupid MP3 players that offer poor sound quality and 4x the price when you include the cost of buying "memory sticks" -Most bang for your buckThe bad
  • but i still like the quality sound it records better than a mp3 player.

Reviews around thing (4.26 of 5)

  • These things are so much fun, it's makin a kid out of me again.
  • Beside that, this thing is great...especially for the price.
  • I spent a lot of time reading reviews of all the various units on the international MiniDisc website, and I finally read enough negative things about the Sonys (along with lots of positive things) that I decided to go with this less expensive Sharp
  • I want to buy this MD player badly because I have heard great things about

Reviews around player (4.07 of 5)

  • I have to say if you are looking for an inexpensive portable audio player this is the best choice out there.
  • It fits in ur pocket unlike bulky cd players
  • then stupid MP3 players that offer poor sound quality and 4x the price when you include the cost of buying "memory sticks" -Most bang for your buckThe bad
  • The player is easy to learn and navigating through the menus is an easy task.
  • overall, this is the best and most affordable mini disc player on the market.

Reviews around product (3.86 of 5)

  • All in all, I think that this product is great.
  • Overall, it's a wonderful product that will always be independently useful (it doesn't matter if MiniDisc ever "catches on" because everything you need is in this unit, you just need to be able to buy the discs) and it is a real attention-getter
  • I would definitely recommend this product or any mini disc player over an Mp3 player
  • However, after about a month, I started noticing how cheap this product was
  • I suggest buyers to spend a bit more and find a more reliable product.

Reviews around md (3.86 of 5)

  • I originally wanted the Sharp md 821. ... sold out and never got anymore
  • So the next affordable md was this one
  • I am extremely impressed with my Sharp MD player/recorder.
  • No USBNo backlit lightButtons are not the most intuitiveIt's too bad MD hasn't caught fire in the US
  • However, I found that the sharp MD player is not as durable as many other brands such as Sony.

Reviews around feature (3.70 of 5)

  • The fact that it has rechargeable lithium is a great feature
  • Anyway, other features are fantastic (burn from ANY source, small size, quality of sound, etc).It is something which needs to be treated very delicately.
  • I would say the feature set for the price is outstanding
  • This thing has loads of cool editing features and is extremely easy to use
  • One of my favorite features of this minidisc player is the fact that I can burn my own cd's onto minidiscs!

Reviews around unit (3.61 of 5)

  • If you listen to this on the street, you will have to set the unit to higher then the "default" level, thus draining more battery.
  • This SHARP unit I got about 7 months ago
  • This SHARP unit will automatically cut a new track when necessary.
  • Fortunately, I did a little more research (you can even download the user manual from ...) and was glad to learn that the unit would be suitable for my purposes

Reviews around cd (2.82 of 5)

  • The MD format is versatile, user friendly, inexpensive, and sounds just as great as a CD (except to those with golden ears)
  • But it seems like all things, $$$ is a big factor, as CDs are much cheaper.
  • It fits in ur pocket unlike bulky cd players
  • Or just get a cd and record favorite tracks from computer
  • And it doesn't skip nearly as easy as a CD player
