Good Power Transistors and Power Supply - all that equals bottom end watts

stereo amps typically go bad after 5 years or so by losing power in one of the stereo channels..this one went bad as soon as warranty expiration..maybe your experience will be different..not recommended..if you buy it "good luck"

Power is adequate to drive the speakers very loudly if that is what you desire

Power is adequate to drive large speakers, but it sounds a little strained compared to more expensive receivers and amps with more real power

It is powering my BOSE 501 series IV speakers just fine.

Very nice replacement for my old Technics preamp-amplifier: clean sound, sufficient power to drive quality speakers, and one of few receivers which still have connection for a turntable to play vinyl

If I remember correctly, my old amp was 100 watts per channel, and this one is supposedly 200 watts, so I guess I have enough power to blow out my windows and annoy all my neighbors; definitely more power than I'll ever need

The Sherwood on the other hand brings nice power and awesome sound
