This speaker has good crisp sound and nice bass for the size

Comparing the bass only, other 10$ speaker could produce better bass than this speaker

However, I found the sound balanced and - fortunately - it lacked the muddiness found in a lot of other Bluetooth speakers that promise extra bass

Its only purpose is to reproduce music and that it does very well without distortion & good bass.

The downside of this speaker is the bass can be lacking

Overall, I’m happy with the replacement and definitely recommend Anker soundcore Boost to those who want a stronger bass at a great price.

I'd favorably compare the soundscape to my old Jawbone Jambox Mini - that is, highs are clear but not super-crisp, and bass is significant but not BOOMING

For me this speaker does what I need, BUT if you are a super bass head or want something louder to fill a larger living room may want to shop with a bigger budget

I listen to a lot of orchestral music, and the Motion Q has not disappointed me while listening for certain highs and lows (as well as bass).

I should note that this supports Anker's Bass Up technology, which is different than Bass Boost; the latter has a separate button on other Anker speakers to boost the bass, which this does NOT have.

Anker understood my needs for wanting a stronger bass speaker so they sent me a replacement with a better bass

The sound is LOUD and crisp when using it in a small room such as the bathroom, being an average bathroom (5x10) this thing shines, bass, mids and highs

But, yes, it's cheap for its audio drivers, unlike if speakers were manufacture by peerless(tymphany) or very "qualified" industry, the sound MUFFLED & can get HOT sometimes if did with some heavy-bass songs(like EDM/Dubstep/Trap/DD/ or ect that has low notes from 100Hz to 50Hz), yes this speaker hits 55Hz at lowest range at distance from .8meters to close-up, a good one, considering the massive bass radiators
