This is a very decent Bluetooth speaker, and a great value when you can get it on sale
It turns out my device did have a faulty Bluetooth receiver that created a crackle/pop at random intervals
I assumed based on the higher price point, increased power and improved IPx rating that the Motion Q was a follow up to Ankers Soundcore 2, the "Gold Standard" of portable Bluetooth speakers
However, I found the sound balanced and - fortunately - it lacked the muddiness found in a lot of other Bluetooth speakers that promise extra bass
Maybe I'm expecting too much from a portable Bluetooth speaker

Haven't tested the IPX7, but have no reason to doubt Anker's covered that with the same aplomb they reliably do

I would add custom tweeters above the now-place main drivers & switch them with higher-excursion peerless(to name one) drivers, just to cover frequencies down to 40Hz(really would sell me to $90 if it could hehehe).Despite the heat & muffling, it could get a bit stuttering & shaky(for those concerned of floor noise conduction), defying the whole fact that its back-to-back facing speakers like Anker Flare
