what more could I ask?A digital scale would be slightly easier to use, but this scale is worth the price (as long as the measurement is accurate...)
-
I didn't skimp on a cheaper digital scale.
-
This is as accurate as any balance type scale I've ever used and is built to last
-
More precise scale will require smaller adjustments to your tonearm
-
I can see the appeal, but I find my digital scales to be easier and more accurate
-
Bottomline is, you have to be very careful with those; having said that, a well calibrated scale will definitely be very accurate and provide a higher resolution to allow for very precise VTF calibration
-
use a scale -- don't fake it!
-
The scale is super easy to read, at first I wasn't quite sure how it worked, but once you set the scale on the turntable it all makes sense
-
Forget about cheap digital pressure scales that are probably not so accurate.
-
This scale makes it really easy to set the tracking force up properly, so there are no questions about if it is done right or not. :-)
-
While the close up pictures of this now posted do not look as nice as my old scale, (it seems to be not as well molded now.)
-
Some pricier digital scales are probably a bit more accurate, but when you get down to accuracy of 1/10th gram, that's splitting hairs

The reason I docked a star is for the way the counter-weight is setup, it's not snug on the scale and tends to move even when you're balancing the tonearm, had this been better implemented, this scale would be perfect!

Why pay more a an electronic device when a proven scale will not wear out and works beautifully?

THIS SCALE WORKS FANTASTIC, WORTH EVERY PENNY

Don't waste your money on cheap digital scales

Even though the counterweight on the old 1973 Pioneer was fairly accurate, it was not as precise as the Shure scale.
