    Shure SM7B Cardioid Dynamic Microphone

    • The Shure SM7B is amazing
    • The Shure flatters your voice - sounds bigger
    • The Shure sm7b is a classic for a reason
    • I prefer to start with a microphone that is dynamic across the spectrum BEFORE any processing takes place, I returned this Shure, spent an extra $100.00, and got the EV
    • the SM7B can give your recorded voice the classic Shure SM58 "live" character if you know how to use it right (though again you need to keep in mind that it's never going to be as delicate as a condenser mic, still if you know what you're doing you might find it a worthy trade-off to get great character with the loss of some delicate-ness
    • All I can say is that the Shure SM7B is absolutely amazing
    • The Shure SM7B is a legendary favorite among professional broadcasters, producers, & engineers
    • The 4 stars: Shure could do us all a solid, save us the trouble, why not list this on the front page?
    • You could spend thousands on Neuman or Sennheiser microphones, but you won't find them in too many radio stations because the Shure and ElectroVoice are better at the job.
    • I got this mic as an upgrade from the XLR Blue Yeti and the XLR AT-2020 and what I've noticed in comparing them all is that the Shure SM7B is wildly better, it's so good and sounds super crisp
    • Shure makes the best mics in the business and the SM7B doesn't disappoint
    • Like shure is probably the worst company i've experienced and i've been to blockbuster
    • PR-40 the Shure SM7B is built like a tank.
    • With the SM7B the shockmount is built into the microphone and does a surprisingly good job and Shure includes two different foam windscreens (one for normal use and one for ultra-close up use) with the microphone.
    • For those of you reviewing the SHURE SM7B and complaining about it, nine times out of ten it's because you don't understand how it works.
    • If you don't want a disposable mic, the Shure is your better bet.ds
    • performance! For those not in the know, you do need a preamp with more juice than most (Shure recommends +60db gain at a minimum), or you need to buy a Cloudlifter to make sure you have enough gain for line-level input
    • Of the lot the Shure SM7B is my favorite of the ones still available.
    • I think I've found a good balance with the SM7 recently where the S:N is better than many of my condensers
