    Shure SM7B Cardioid Dynamic Microphone

    • Got one from guitar center great mic does wonderful things if u know how to mix it this mic sounds clean and powerful its the best dynamic microphone ever if you know sound dynamics mics are punchy powerful then mic is clean and poweful but its not a neumann stop saying or comparing the neumann u87 is the king of clear condensed polished sound you have to pre eq this mic definetly for vocals in music but not much tho with that being said this is one of the only mics that sound good on everybody
    • Love this thing
    • After doing anything I could to not spend the money, things like adjusting my voice to the microphone, trying to sound-proof on a budget, recording in my closet, etc
    • It's not the best thing ever made
    • JUST BUY THE DAMN THING
    • I agree this thing is amazing
    • The Beta 58 will still be my live choice, but this thing is perfect for recording my mix of clean and metal screaming vocals.
    • I love this thing, but I am refunding it
    • I read great things about this one
    • I love this thing
    • From podcasts to recording vocals for a record, this thing is perfect.
    • The thing I really like about this mic is how directional the pattern is
    • Honestly... I was expecting great things from this mic
    • This thing is a tank
    • All this means is that the LDC will smooth things over and fill in the valleys between syllables almost like a multi band compressor, while the SM7B will be more enunciative
    • This thing sounds AMAZING if you actually give it the
    • Use a plastic thing like a guitar pick to switch them, as metal will scratch it
    • I would suggest it to anyone that streams or has loud things around him.
    • To add, if you are using a smaller interface like a Scarlett 2i2 as I am, you will need a preamp to boost the mics volume, I recommend the Simply Sound SS-1 mic activator, it does exactly the same thing as other preamp activators will do, it plugs in directly to your microphone so you won’t need to use in additional XLR
    • Another thing worth mentioning is that like the
    • coming from a blue yeti user, this thing is an absolute beast, sound quality is crisp and clear.
    • One thing, well actually two things, the Shure SM7B has that the Heil PR40 does not is a set of two switches.
    • And it's not like this thing is stellar
    • It's inexpensive (for the mic world), sounds incredible, and will last forever (this thing is DURABLE
    • Awesome thing!!
    • and I can't say enough good things about it
    • And it's not like this thing is stellar
    • This thing feels like a miniature tank
    • If you are thinking about getting a microphone it is absolutely worth it to save up and go for this first, I much regret buying the other mics at all because this thing is just tops
    • This is just the physics/science of microphones: dynamic mics handle loud sounds better, condensers handle delicate things better
    • With thousands of dollars in my microphone drawer -- dynamics and condensers, classics and new -- I kick myself for not buying this mic sooner because this $350 bargain has now become my first choice for every vocal project.
