    Shure SRH840 Professional Monitoring Headphones

    • After about a year the cheap plastic extendable headband snapped on me when I tried to put the headphones on.
    • The plastic is pretty solid and feels good, but I am a little concerned about two little cables running from the main body of each ear to the bridge on top
    • The plastic was brittle and basically crumbled
    • Pro is more plastic and SRH840 seems more solid (though I don't like the exposed wires)
    • I dont feel complete isolation and in some parts the plastic feels a little weak
    • Upon closer inspection, I could see how they would break, because there is only a skinny molded piece of cheap plastic that makes up the earphone brace.
    • They will not send me the small, cheap plastic part that needs replacing
    • After taking a pretty hard beating they finally broke (the plastic that connects the headphones to the band cracked), but these are amazing headphones.
    • They use a very cheap plastic that broke under pressure twice in the first year on both sides
    • I've seen stronger plastic in a model car box.
    • Why are these expensive headphones always built with such crappy plastic?
