Only worry is to make sure I change batteries before they die

This will power up the lock if the internal batteries are dead, and allow you access

The batteries are accessable from the INSIDE of the lock only

I am not if the lock will work if the batteries are dead

So, if you do experience a dead battery situation, this isn't something you can easily remedy manually
