Silicon Power 1TB Rugged Armor A15 Military-Grade Shockproof USB 3.0 2.5-inch Portable External Hard Drive - for PC and Mac (SP010TBPHDA15S3KAE)

    • The hard drive also wiggle a little bit when being shaken
    • It is a bit more expensive then other portable drives with the same amount of space but this is clearly a case where you get what your pay for quality-wise

    • That hasn't hurt data storage yet, and I'm sure it could be avoided if I used my laptop and the HD at a desk or table, but it worries me a bit.
    • Both the supplied USB cable and another I tried apparently do not connect well because a little bit of wiggle means that the computer loses the connection to the disk

    • I admit when I ordered my first Silicon Power Rugged Armor A80 1 TB drive I was a bit skeptical
    • This worries me a bit.
    • It gets banged around a fair bit.
    • It uses a standard USB, not the mini or micro, which seems to be a bit more durable on the cable when abusing this drive, and comes with two cables, a 3 ft cable, and a little 3" cable that is fitted into the side of the drive, so if you're in a pinch and can't find the longer one, you can make do
    • As it is a little bit more expensive than other portable drives, i feel like this will be a longer term investment in my data.
    • It's a bit harder to get the larger cable to fit into a carrying case, but if you fiddle with it long enough it'll go.

    • I doubt that I will find out, as I intend to return the drive ASAP, as I no longer have confidence in the thing
    • Not this thing, I do not treat it as nice as I

    • That being said, I didn't have any problems with my 2T WD hard drive until it died loosing all my data.
