Might have been a defect in any event I went and bought the actual mount that goes for the yeti fit like a glove gotta send this one back

I certainly recommend it to anybody looking for a Yeti shock mount.

Fortunately my Yeti did not have this error so it fits perfectly

It's the blue yeti's fault

and it eliminated the Blue Yeti hum caused by computer fan vibrations.

The extra parts you can get with the desk mount arm and thread tape can help the yeti fit if the yeti was made wrong

I had no issue mounting the Blue Yeti to it, which I guess is a continued problem due to Blue's odd manufacturing on some of the mics

Purchased for a Blue Yeti Blackout, Screw fits fine as my Yeti is not defective with the larger hole.

The Auphonix mount has a foam pad on the mounting area to keep from scratching your crappy Yeti mic, Just rip the pad off and the mounting plug was long enough to catch a few threads and mount the mic

: my Yeti doesn't have the problem with the larger threading that some Yeti's have, but Auphonix has instructions of what to do if yours has the threading error.

if your blue yeti mic can't fit on this shock mount then your blue yeti mic is actually defective and you need to start emailing them or going back to the store that you bought it and tell them that they gave you a defective one.. because I have my old blue yeti mic that have an over sized hole

The tightening knob has a hair trigger the slightest breeze will your yeti hanging saggily

Mine fits perfectly, even though the seller let me know ahead of time that some Yeti's have a manufacturing defect that prevents any shock mounts from properly attaching without something like plumbers tape

He took a new Yeti off the shelf, the mount hole was the right size, the service rep kept the "defective" Yeti, I left with one that is built to proper spec

Also the mount will fit the yeti, if it doesn't, its not the mounts fault
