• Reviews around cable (3.73 of 5)

SilverStone Technology 3.5-Inch to 2 X 2.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive HDD / SSD Bay Converter, Silver (SDP08)

    • The cable works fine and looks awsome in my modded rig
    • I highly suggest this if you are concerned about cable management and you need a slick cable running to that new SSD.
    • Great cable - solved my HD issues.
    • This is a nice cable, feels heavy duty with enough flex to get in where it needs.
    • I then took this cable and plugged it into my optical disc drive, and it works fine
    • Like my cable's with the metal clip's better by far tho.
    • Good for people who have loose cables to connect to multiple SSD drives, however this will not work if you have mounted connection points such as in a drive encloser or external drive bay.
    • Admittedly, I do have a better SilverStone power supply with slightly thicker/bulkier cables than the average power supply.
    • good cheap cables, good price
    • This is a decent cable and is shorter than most of those red cables you normally get with motherboards and drives.
    • This thin cable is pricey, but if you need something that can fit in and be routed through tight spaces, this is the one you want and it's worth the premium
    • it's ok but the missing latch becomes an annoying issue when you manipulate the cables and they disconnect frequently
    • This has to be one of the coolest cables out there
    • I know others have said this as well but power cables will be a problem depending on your PSU
    • This is good enough for use in mid-ATX enclosures, but those with full ATX chassis' may find the length to be a bit too short for proper cable management or extensive cable runs behind a motherboard tray for example
    • Great priced cabled
    • even mad!!!The cable feels firm, durable and the external weave is a nice touch, not and indispensable one, but a nice oneThe head pin fits firmly tight in the port, and the thickness of the cable doesn't allow odd twisting angles, that can damage the cable, so is a good inversion, in spite of the prize tagPros: good cable thickness, head pin fits firmly / tightly, good design, durable materials, good cable length for a mid tower CPUCons: the weave can be damaged with case / other inside computer innards and is more of a aesthetic extra, a little overprized
    • It's not like audio cables where I can hear the difference between crap cables and silver core cables(silver is the most conductive
    • Great SATA cable to have
    • The cable was incredibly stiff, and the angle of the cable coming out of the side of the connector required it to be plugged into certain ports on the motherboard
    • Wow, this cable really is NICE
    • Good quality cable and very well braided
    • A good cable at a good price.
    • I now actually prefer this method of securing pesky SATA data cables over the commonly seen metal latch and locking mechanisms; the CP07 is simply much easier to install and remove
    • The cables are great, though the sleeving is a little loose
    • If you're looking for a "pretty cable" go ahead and get this one, it's just down right adorable.
    • SLI Dual LAN ATX Motherboard and these cables worked well with how the sata ports are designed
    • Now I can mount both my SSD with proper cable management.
    • It is good as a cable
    • These are the most flexible SATA cables I've seen, and the lateral angle connector is genius for motherboard - case combinations with clearance problems.
    • It works and saves space but the cables are stiff
    • Seems like reasonable cables
    • These are very nice cables
    • Great looking cables and work well
    • I originally purchased these cables to make sure I could reach my two 2.5" drives in my chassis, and found the cable to be excessively lengthy to route.
    • These cables may look odd but if you've got cramped space (such as Video Card laying on top of SATA ports) -- They work!Read more
    • Decent cables
    • ") version can seem a little bit long for a Mini ATX build (I've used 18" in the past), but I don't mind the extra length because I don't want to bend such important cables too much and would rather prefer to bend them in larger curves
    • The SSD installed easily enough into the converter, but the cables inside in the iMac were just barely long enough to attach properly
    • stay out of the way and turn on a dime making the most complex cable management doable.
    • On a similar note, if like me you are looking for good cables like this one, definitely check out the NZXT brand line of cables
    • Im not really into gamer themes, I like functional workstations and this SATA cable fits my needs
    • The angle is great so that the cable doesn't develop a bend against the inside of the computer case, and makes it easier to tie to other cables for good cable management.
    • Tremendously maneuverable sata cables.
    • very good cable for small/tight boards
    • The Silverstone Tek cables have a mesh sleeve that protects the cable and looks cool
    • the cable is nice and the locking is pretty
    • Nice cable and the 90 degree end was just what I needed in my case
    • Yes, you have a split cable that only adds to the clutter you are trying so hard to prevent
    • I'd get a replacement from Asus and then swap it out for the right cable.
    • It's a good cable, and it has a 90 degree bend so it doesn't get in the way of my back panel in the case.
    • If you have any slack in your cable (and you should because very tight cables means stress, strain and potential damage) the split cables bulge and twist up on each other at times
    • Some cables will have the lock as well but they are cheap so they break or don't hold
    • I bought two of these cables and one of them was a bad cable
    • Once installed, forget detaching it because the cheap cable will be damaged.
    • Cable is misrepresented in photos
    • I would NOT trust these cables for any build that handles important data transfers! In summary -It is a so/so made, over-priced product that is only really useful for super tight Mini-ITX builds or edge case scenarios
    • Personally, I love braided cables
    • A shiny black braided cable that stays in place!
    • Good cable.
    • The cables seem sturdy yet pliable
    • Good reliable cable without any connection or quality issues.
    • Make SURE you have proper cabling for very closely spaced stacked SATA drives
    • If you use right-angle cables, forget it
    • i got it to replace a slower cable that came with my
    • Stunning flat cable beautifully wrapped
    • I spent an unfortunately long amount of time combing the entirety of the searchable internet looking for good white SATA cables
    • I would recommend this cable for any SATA related connections.
    • Very nice quality cable that worked just
    • Great cable
    • Single data cables work ok, but my modular power supply cables were short / 'upside down' oriented / tight curl fit
    • Just as another commentator said, it is likely they had a large run of such defective cables and decided to release these, rather than taking the hit, by covering up the defect with a little sticker.
    • I know others have said this as well but power cables will be a problem depending on your PSU
    • Best SATA cable I have used
    • Best cables you can get for your hard drives, especially if you're tight on space around them.
    • I have done some very tight, extreme MINI-ITX builds and normal, cheaper, short, round type SATA cables have always worked perfectly well.
    • But it does have a nice protected cable
    • There's not much else to say other than they're very good cables for the price.
    • good cheap cables, good price
    • these cables are really fantastic.
    • If you like to mod your rig and look for a decent SATA III cable then it should be your choice
    • Two cannot be used in adjacent slots without kinking and potentially damaging the cable
    • These cables are great as long as they work.
    • Good reliable cable so far so good
    • This cable works GREAT
    • Great cable - solved my HD issues.
    • These are among the nicest SATA cables that I have ever built with
    • These are pretty nice cables, the only reason I ding it a star is because the connector ends are ivory, not white.
    • Great sata cable and looks really nice.
    • The cables are very solid, like it said, it plugs in and stays in!
    • I recommend this Sata 6Gb cable 100% and I would buy many many more.
    • Otherwise, I would seek out some simple, more affordable flat or round SATA cables
    • This is my first time having this problem with a SATA cable, not even with other cheap $1 cables.
    • Only detractor is that the cable is very stiff and it can make routing hard if you have to go against the natural curvature of the cable.
    • You can put one (or two if you have enough cables) 2.5" hard disk drives or solid-state drives in the bracket, then mount it in a 3.5" slot
    • These must be the thinnest, slimmest most flexible SATA cables
    • The cables seems potentially flimsy, I haven't had problems, but I would feel better about them with a bit more strain relief directly next to the connector...
    • This is a quality SATA III cable which has been working consistently on a regular hard drive and SSD drive for over 2 weeks
    • The adapter actually comes with two mounting locations for a 2.5" drive, so in theory you could mount two 2.5" drives in this adapter, but in practice you might have to shoehorn the SATA and power cables to get them to plug in so close together - if your cables have an "L" type 90 degree bend at the end, you might be able to mount one drive upside down and face them away from each other, but that assumes you have enough cable length to route the cables
    • I would recommend these cables.
    • For some reason, the metallic locking clip offered by other cables works well on my motherboard and mechanical drives, but did not work well at all with my SSDs
    • So, if you have right angle SATA cables and use two SSDs be aware of this.
    • The cable worked as intended
    • Very nice cables.
    • The Silverstone Tek 90 Degree SATA III Cable with Non-Scratch Locking Mechanism is a good, inexpensive SATA Cable
    • Great Cable
    • customer service was not very helpful they told me it was my mobo issue and not there cable
    • Matching internal cables with added sheath protection always a plus I would recommend to anyone I use them for my HDD so I can remove the tray with cable to spare.
    • Or like in my case just flipped the cable around
    • Fits right angled SATA cables as well due to the one side indentation.
    • I installed the cable as intended and it worked fine
    • it's ok but the missing latch becomes an annoying issue when you manipulate the cables and they disconnect frequently
    • Silverstone Tek 90 Degree SATA III Cable has to be the best looking cable I've seen out there
    • This is a great cable that does what it is supposed to do
    • Be sure that the cable will work well for your application as it pertains to the room around the mobo and drives
    • Works as well as any other SATA cable
    • The sleeved cable is nice and also aids in protecting the cable and also distinguishes it from other cables you may have in the system
    • These Tek 90 cables are beautiful in their understated appearance
    • The power and data cables can be stiff, and hard to get into tight places.
    • The cable is strong and looks attractive
    • I wish this was as good as the other cables I have from Silverstone which are some of the best in the industry.
    • It also appears that another user on Newegg has had this same problem, and while I'd like to think that I just got a bad cable or two, having all four cables fail suggests that the design itself is flawed and that most users simply don't notice the difference, as I would not have if I wasn't use a fast ssd
    • I ordered some cheaper (4.00) cables by a known manufacturer
    • Nice cable, performance is as expected.
    • When I received this cable I was absolutely thrilled with its slick thin (yet durable) cable with a cool fabric like feel to it
    • Best Sata III cable ever
    • The cable works as it should and is great for an itx build at only 300mm long.
    • Not much more to say than that it works as it is supposed to
    • Works as you'd expect
    • Work as they're supposed to and the drives are back for good! There's no difference between SATA 3Gb/s and 6Gb/s cables, but there's a HUGE difference in quality and these work.
    • nice little accessory, works as it should.
    • They fitted snugly to the motherboard as well as to drives
    • I've had a 2nd drive on this cable for about 5-6 months now, works just as good as when I got it
    • The cable works as it should and is great for an itx build at only 300mm long.
    • The CP07 delivered on all fronts, and I feel that the price of the CP07 is justified for those enthusiasts who want a custom-sleeved look in their PC build as well as
