It was a little difficult to hook up but is working fine now and does have a great sound EXCEPT when we change channels there is static for 2 seconds in between channels.

The unit is extremely easy to set up, built-in digital optical converter box, works perfect for my Smart TV, I can put the speaker next to me, and the TV dialogue is so clear and close to me

But,once I started using this, this one works perfect

the Audio out jack on my TV ( a 2 year old Sharp/Hisense from Best Buy) worked fine with the 3.5 connector, just one cable from the TV's audio out to the transmitter's audio in.
