It works great--there are 2 sounds--one is similar to a bell tone, the other is a siren--we use the siren sound selection on the receiver when outside mowing as it is louder.

Then the "ding-dong" sound quit working and only the annoying & loud "Siren" sound was working.

The other the siren was always alarms for no reason and the ones they adv. that they monitor, all the monitor person does is call one of the people on your list of care givers, or children.

I have mine on the chime setting, the siren is just too weird

The doorbell is okay and the siren sound causes anxiety, but this gets the job done and the range is impressive.

It works great - I like the door bell option for during the day and the alarm will wake the entire house at night.
