Just clip it on and tune up, even with ambient noise in the background.

Using it is much better than any phone app that relies on the microphone, because this does not get messed up by ambient noise

I just have to keep the lesson muted while I tune or it picks up ambient noise

For the first time I did not have any problem with loud ambient noise.

It works EXACTLY as it says it does

Did exactly as i hoped it would and worked exactly as it said it would

And, when I held the tuning fork against the Snark, it immediately showed a pure "A".

The Snark SN-8 works great, even though it sometime misreads the high E as an A if plucked too softly

My only complaint is that it has trouble picking up the low E during tuning
