Hope this is true, those little batteries ain't cheap!

The battery died faster than I would have hoped for but since it's got backlighting perhaps that's expected.

Easy to see, especially when batteries are fresh

Good Tuner, very accurate but the power button is faulty in that it turns on while being carried during the case which drains the battery

The batteries that it takes are very easy to find and are relatively cheap

Came with a bad battery and an unreliable view screen.

I have had several others including Fisher, their batteries die instantly while this will last a year or more

I feel like I'm always replacing the battery

It should have a self-timer for shut-off, so it doesn't drain your battery.

Accurate and durable, I only wish it had an auto turn off because I keep accidently killing my battery.

I bought a Peterson clip on, the battery is cheaper and goes about six weeks

My only complaint is the batteries that came with them didn't last very long

On one of them, the battery died (at least I'm assuming it is the battery - it doesn't work) after using it once

Wish it had a longer battery life because once the battery starts to weaken, the display gets dim and is sometimes hard to see if it is bright indoors (so, I always have a spare battery with me), or, if I'm outside during the day

I also wish the button that turns it on were harder to press down, because I find that these things turn on inside the case and burn the battery down prematurely.

It works EXACTLY as it says it does

Did exactly as i hoped it would and worked exactly as it said it would

And, when I held the tuning fork against the Snark, it immediately showed a pure "A".

If I miss the low E, might over tighten the string.

The Snark SN-8 works great, even though it sometime misreads the high E as an A if plucked too softly

My only complaint is that it has trouble picking up the low E during tuning
