Sonos Play:1 Compact Wireless Speaker for Streaming Music. Works with Alexa. (White)

    • Can’t listen to my podcasts in my preferred app, can’t listen to my audiobooks at all, can’t watch video on my iPad and stream audio through speaker
    • Love the app with all the music choices, something for everyone.
    • The app is terrible, the speaker is great but useless with out the app, will only play pandora on my system, Apple Music and amazon music continuously disconnect (after 10 seconds).
    • Now the app doesn't work with the Play 3
    • And it looks ~great~Fantastic design, fantastic sound quality, fantastic app, 10/10 would recommend
    • Great product terrible app.
    • The app could be better, but I do love my Sonos system.
    • The biggest issues I had are: - The app is horrible for any setup other than a basic setup
    • Extremely easy to set up, the app is top notch, and the sound is amazing!
    • The app you use to control it is pretty good as well
    • The app you use to control it is pretty good as well
    • What's the point of this piece of rubbish"?The app is a 100% joke as well
    • The app to operate it is free and use/operation is simple.
    • but I had no reason to think that...as I was just assuming all speakers are Bluetooth...Instead you have to run this through your home network and proprietary Sonos App
    • assistant)-app UX kinda clunky and slow
    • Love the Sonos app.
    • This is just psychologically people just giving away 5 stars but in reality this app and speaker both are not worth
    • Easy to use app works with most music services and your own library!
    • App is really ugly and hard to use
    • Connected through your homes Wi-Fi internet, this speaker allows you to play music through their smart phone app that can be downloaded by Apple or Android users
    • I had read about how good the speakers are but didn't know how much I'd enjoy the smartphone app.
    • I've owned my system for over a year now & when they work they sound great, but if more than 1 user is on the system the app can be impossible to work with
    • The sound quality is really good and the app is easy to use but if only they can fix the connectivity issue
    • App is clunky and finicky, doesn't recognize existing system if speaker gets unplugged or loses power.
    • Set was a breeze, as was/is adding music services (Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, etc...) through the intuitive app.
    • That's correct - an app that cannot be simply turned off
    • All you need to do is hit play on your favorite app, like Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, etc
    • Great sound, app that works with many music apps and Alexa.
    • Bottom line is that the app is terrible
    • The app is easy to use and set up is easy.
    • Yes the sound is amazing and the app is cool, it can wake you up or turn itself off.
    • Setup took less than 5 minutes and the app is very easy to use on my iPhone 6.If you are looking for a small, powerful speaker that delivers great sound then check out Sonos.
    • Has great sound, easy to set up, and the app is very user-friendly
    • The App is easy to use and works well with Apple Music, Spotify, or your favorite radio station.
    • The app was not helpful at all.
    • The app on my Android phone also works flawless.
    • Pros: Great sound in a small form factor, attractive design, compatible with other smart devicesCons: Mediocre app
    • I'm very happy with this speaker, app could use some work.
    • the app is awesome and works great with Alexa
    • This is not so cumbersome, however the app does not work with Audible.
    • The sound quality is amazing, the app is easy to use from your phone or anyone else's, and it's not too difficult to pair it to a new room
    • The app crashes a lot, it is painful to adjust the settings due to the crash
    • The only thing was initially getting the app for a Windows laptop, but the Android controller app is just as capable as the desktop app
    • Great app
    • Expensive but good sound, great app.
    • This is the worst music app I have had the misfortune of using.
    • I hate the new iPhone app, it does not work well and makes it very difficult to switch zones
    • Expensive but good sound, great app.
    • The app is good, but it's a hassle constantly syncing up all music through the one app.
    • Pros: Great sound in a small form factor, attractive design, compatible with other smart devicesCons: Mediocre app
    • Right now I'm trying to listen to NPR on my system, but both the app on my iphone and the app on my computer are unresponsive, even after restarting them both
    • Works off your home wireless, Long range with a cool app to run the whole program
    • iOS app sucks now though.
    • supports many third-party apps
    • I had an Amazon echo, I sent it back because it wasn't nearly as useful as they claimed and the app was cranky and poorly designed
    • The sound is great and the app is very user friendly.
    • They force you to use their crappy app and whatever junk music streaming
    • The app doesn't support quite a few things
    • Setup time: never less than 30 minutesApp usability: hands down the worst app I have ever used
    • But the app keeps failing to connect.
    • If you want to use your Sonos system if Sonos the company ever goes belly up and stops supporting its app, or if you want to use a record player or other similar device on your system, you need at a minimum a Play 5.You might need signal boosters, depending on your house construction.
    • App is a little weird and takes some getting used to but speakers sound awesome and connecting them was very easy.
    • Maybe I'll try it again when I have a better internet plan or the app gets better.
    • If their app wasn’t so unstable and unpredictable, I’d give it another star, but in the 2 months I’ve owned it there doesn’t seem to be any new updates forthcoming.... and the odd behavior of their Pandora plug in, as well as the random times the streaming stops, continue to plague this device.
    • The sound quality is great, setup is simple, and the app is easy to use
    • Love the app!!
    • This app is unable to deal with concepts like listening to part of an audiobook, listening to some music for an hour then trying to pick up the audiobook where it left off
    • I do not like the app which is glitchy and cuts off a song in the middle of
    • Once set up, the app worked flawlessly to control the music from multiple devices with no issues (unlike the Bose Soundtouch 10-
    • BIG SOUND, small package...great apps!
    • What's the point of this piece of rubbish"?The app is a 100% joke as well
    • If the entire setup was lost then I could blame my WiFi router (even though no other apps or my computers have problems with it).
    • The Sonos service, that comes with the free app on my iPhone and iPad, is easy to use and integrates multiple services in a single platform
    • The latest software update won't let me play Spotify except through there inferior app
    • Great product terrible app.
    • I hate the Sonos app and how it shuts down so often
    • The mobile app is amazing, the ability to combine playlists across multiple services is something I really leverage3
    • I can have guests come over, install the free Sonos app and immediately start playing their own music instead of using my mobile device.
    • The app is excellent the sound is perfect.
    • The app isn't the most intuitive and can be a little quirky sometimes, but it gets the job done
    • I can easily control the system through my ipad mini and play whatever music I want to with appropriate APP.
    • The app works 95% of the time the way it's supposed to.
    • I really dislike the sonos app, as many have mentioned
    • I loved the remote app for itunes
    • The app that they force you to use is horrible
    • From there just hook them up to an airport express, and you're free to play literally anything from your phone, directly off of your phone, and without having to go through a stupid f-ing app
    • The App is garbage and spent an hour going through
    • Once installed users can play MOST (provided Sonos supports the app) of the music that they would play off their phones regularly
    • The app is a little clunky, but it's constantly improving.
    • But... the app is buggy
    • This is the BOMB!!!.GREAT SOUND Quality, great app..
    • Sonos continues to have glitchy unreliable apps to control and setup their devices
    • the app is terrible and outdated, sound quality is okay
    • Very disappointed that I cannot connect my own audio source because the app doesn't work well with Spotify.
    • We really like the Sonos system and the sound is very good but the app isn't very good and the constant updates are annoying.
    • The app for iOS and Android is designed the same on both platforms but hard to navigate, un-intuitive, and confusing.
    • I'm so disappointed and wish I could roll back the app before the update when the whole system worked perfect.
    • App is easy to use
    • But the app is so bad that I would rather use my $15 Bluetooth speaker.
    • The app works smoothly and allows full control, alarms are built in and all my services are tied to the speaker
    • The sounds is really great, the unit itself is attractive and the app works really well.
    • The app is super easy to use
    • Time Warner/Spectrum and the streaming power is just not great) and the buggy app
    • but we're in an app world and the app is very user friendly
    • Both the android app and windows desktop app make this product complete garbage
    • but personally I prefer the Sonos app where I can search ALL my music services rather then just one.
    • Then came the relentless App updates, tinkering with the UI.
    • The apps and software were easy to use.
    • Android / OSX apps work beautifully as well as the desktop apps as these are placed in my office and will typically be controlling them from there
    • However, the app is HORRIBLE and the wifi connection plainly doesn't work
    • The app is a little clunky, but it's constantly improving.
    • The sound is so clear, it works with Alexa, has a great app, and it is very boomy for the size
    • both of us have the app loaded on our phones, no interference
    • While I love the app and
    • If the app were easier to is, or looked like any time e was spent on it for that matter, this speaker would do better in my book
    • Everything is controlled through the app on your phone and while its not the simplest app to use I got it all working pretty quickly.
    • Spotify and iTunes and any other app is better than the Sonos app
    • The app is really finicky and doesn't always connect the fist time I launch or reopen after I come back home and join wifi.
    • And the wireless app is great.
    • Great app.
    • The app is super easy to use
    • I set them up in one room as a stereo like pair and the app made that very easy.
    • In short, if you’re willing to put in the time regularly to get this system working as it’s supposed to, are okay with very few customization options and don’t need to share the system with anyone else in your household, you may be perfectly happy using Sonos
    • If you are sitting at your computer fooling around online and your favorite song just doesn't sound quite as crisp as you would like it to, or if you have a $200 budget to fill 1 room in your house with sound, keep looking, your speaker is out there somewhere ;-)I hope this helps, Cheers!
    • Although Sonos advertising their product works with Alexsa, Alexsa does not want to work with Sonos as of today December 2017
