• Reviews around software (2.52 of 5)

Sonos Play:1 Compact Wireless Speaker for Streaming Music. Works with Alexa. (White)

    • The software is a nightmare and the system freezes and is inoperable on a daily basis.
    • Software is horrible
    • The new software is horrible, and the customer service is worse.
    • The idea is great and the software is great however the sound quality is not great at
    • It's incredible that after several years on the market they haven't arrived at a more robust software
    • Sonos keeps the software fresh.
    • Great software
    • The idea of this system is nice, and it's nice that the speakers act somewhat independently of a computer, but when you're trying to stream from the Sonos servers, the poor software engineering gets in the way.
    • The software never worked well
    • My only complaint is their software
    • Great speaker but needs to update software to work 100% with
    • So much potential but software fails.
    • Their software is cumbersome, especially if you're just used to playing anything and everything you want using Airplay Mirroring on your iOS devices.
    • It sounds great but the software is terrible.
    • But the software is soooooooo painful
    • The software is fine - originally, I disliked
    • Awesome sound, excellent software (which gets regular updates), rock solid wi-fi connection, quality connection, helpful website.
    • Problem is that software to transfer music is problematic.
    • The software is awesome.
    • Top quality sound and software
    • Sonos had the worst software in modern day app
    • REALLY inadequate software
    • BUTIt was a constant headache with the buggy software.
    • The software is intuitive and the speaker sounds great.
    • If seems like the software has updated 1000 times in the years i have owned the system
    • It is pricey and probably overkill for a single room, but once you start adding speakers to other rooms, and integrate with a media server, you see the benefit of Sonos's software
    • The hardware is superior and the software USED to be until the new release of the 6.4 controllers (apps)
    • It’s a Sonos, sounds great, looks nice and has amazing software
    • The speaker is adequate, but the system is incredibly frustrating and cannot find my music library, cannot do this or that--crappy software...who is posting all these 5.0 reviews??
    • Terrible coders; Sony should know better than to write such incompetent software
    • Don't buy this awful system that forces you into using their awful, awful, AWFUL software.
    • Extremely restrictive and obtrusive software
    • Since then my speakers (1 play 5, 2 play 3’s, and 4 play 1’s) have been hit and miss
    • These little Play 1’s pack a punch with high quality sound and simple setup.
    • n’t see that it’s improved in any way (and it’s very buggy)
    • It doens’t support AirPlay and there are no plans to add support for it.
    • In short, if you’re willing to put in the time regularly to get this system working as it’s supposed to, are okay with very few customization options and don’t need to share the system with anyone else in your household, you may be perfectly happy using Sonos
    • If you are sitting at your computer fooling around online and your favorite song just doesn't sound quite as crisp as you would like it to, or if you have a $200 budget to fill 1 room in your house with sound, keep looking, your speaker is out there somewhere ;-)I hope this helps, Cheers!
    • Although Sonos advertising their product works with Alexsa, Alexsa does not want to work with Sonos as of today December 2017
    • Old classic rock, R&B, Jazz and Gospel, sound as if you were at a live performance
