Sonos Play:3 Mid-Sized Wireless Smart Speaker for Streaming Music. Works with Alexa. (White)

    • Sound quality not quite as nice as the Play 5 but considerably better than the Play 1 IMHO
    • I really recommend the Play 3 over the Play 1
    • Unfortunately, I found the Play 3 to be disappointing
    • The Play 3 is VERY GOOD.........the Play 5 will BLOW YOU AWAY!
    • A couple Ones (or Play 1s) in stereo would, of course, be better soundwise for creating a true stereo image and immersive experience; however, if you are like me and just want one speaker for a certain space and do not want something as big and loud (or pricey) as the Play 5 then the Play 3 would be a good option
    • The Sonos system is great, but the Play 3 is lacking a little
    • The Play 5 blew me away - it provides great room filling music with great bass response
    • My advice save the $100 or spend the extra $100, but skip the Play 3 if you like some bass.
    • I don't think the Play 4 is worth the extra money
    • You might think you could connect your phone with a line-in — only the very expensive Play: 5, the Amp, and the TV Soundbar have a line-in jack
    • Would highly recommend this system to someone who appreciates music playing throughout the day.
    • For the type music I play the Play 1s are more than adequate, although the Play 3 is more powerful
    • I've got a play 3 & play 5 in two rooms (as well as play 1's)
    • Its not as loud as the Play 5 (which is too large), but I am getting another Play
    • I bought a Play 5 before this and was concerned that the Play 3 wouldn't sound as good or have as much bass.
    • I have TEN Play 5's and I can attest the Play 3 is every bit as cool as the Play 5.
    • Love the Play 3.
    • The Play 3 was really lacking in base
    • I love this PLAY 3 speaker.
    • Sonos logs into my google, her amazon, account as well as plays stuff on the home
    • Only advice I have is Buy all the 3/5 Play speakers you can afford, you will want Sonos in all of your rooms
    • The integration with pandora, songza and 15 other music services is as slick as it gets and my play 3 and 5 sound as good as I've ever hear 44k sampled mp3's get.
    • But, the Play 1 is good for a small area and has a better bass response than the Play 3
    • Plus, at high volume levels, the PLAY 3 sound quality becomes progressively worse/distorted
    • And the play 5 is only 1 speaker as well.
    • A good step up from the play 1s with more bass and deeper sound profile - certainly the play 5s would expand on this
    • I really enjoy my new Sonos Play 3
    • The Sonos Play 3 was as advertised: good sounding and easy to set up...this smaller unit is perfect in my kitchen; the added Android app makes it convenient..the bridge was easy to set up and the Play 3 connected right away; the sound coming out of this unit is quite good;extremely satisfied with this product.
    • I know the Play 5 has that capability, but I was on a budget.
    • The Play 3 is totally worth every penny.
    • By contrast, the Play 3 treble sounds weaker, the midrange is somewhat muddy, and the bass is smaller and seems distorted
    • The compact Play 3 may be small, but it easily fills my family room and dining room with rich sound.
    • The Play 3 doesn't disappoint.
    • No need for the play 5, the play 3 sounds great and can fill any room.
    • I would highly recommend the play 3 for anyone with smaller spaces (like ours) and the Play 5 for bigger rooms
    • It would be nice if the cheaper Play 3 had that
    • the Play 3 is perfect for the kitchen, and the Amp is powering two Polk Audio tower speakers in our Living Room.
    • We have a Play 1 as well, but wish we had purchased two Play 3s instead.
    • The Play 3 outshines the 1 over half volume where it keeps the
    • The Play 3 was easy to install.
    • The Play 5 unit does have superior sound, but for a bedroom or home office, or on the patio, the Play 3 is perfect
    • Love the Sonos Play 3.
    • So, 2 Play Ones, to me, beat 1 Play Three (and worth the extra money) and also better than 2 paired Play 3s at 200 bucks cheaper
    • Music keeps playing — without skips, delays or
    • So, in summary the Play 3 is good as a single unit, but I believe the optimal configuration for stereo would be 2 Play Ones, which IMO sounded better than 2 Play 3s paired in stereo, albeit the Play 3s paired in stereo is also quite good, the difference is subtle
    • The Play 3 is VERY GOOD.........the Play 5 will BLOW YOU AWAY!
    • The Play 3, in fact all Sonos products, will not work with the (2) largest music streaming systems on EARTH as of 6/19/2015 - Amazon or iTunes
    • loving my new SONOS Play 3
    • Sound quality not nearly as good as the PLAY 5.
    • The Play 5s were better than the Play 3s in terms of distortion
    • Would not recommend the smaller ones (Play 1) if you are looking to produce really high end volume, but they sound really good when pumped up
    • The Play 5 is much better and if you have the room spend the extra $100
    • The Play 3 sound quality is quite good for a small set of powered speakers.
    • I have the Play 1, 3 and 5 and just like the three bears they each cover different size rooms
    • I had the Play: 5 and now the Play: 3, still love them.
    • We have had the additional Play 3 speaker in the nursery for over two weeks and it works like a charm.
    • The Play 3 is incredible
    • Like the Play 5, the Play 3 is a top-notch, well-made product that can handle pretty much any music style you can throw at it
    • Hate leaving the comfort of my whole home Howard Stern playing system.
    • So far, I have not experienced any dropouts while playing music.
    • The play 5 would be overkill for the size of the room
    • I liked the Play 1 but this is superb
    • No need to enter wifi network passwords or worry that the Play 3 and your router may not be compatible.
    • I'm hoping these sound better as they break in.
    • The integration with pandora, songza and 15 other music services is as slick as it gets and my play 3 and 5 sound as good as I've ever hear 44k sampled mp3's get.
    • My advice: buyer beware-as always
    • This includes the bass and treble, balance, as well as 'Loudness'Cons:-Colors: I'm into aesthetics and I think the white one is just horribly ugly
    • I wasn't expecting my parents to enjoy it nearly as much as they did but within minutes they had figured out how to use the Sonos app and were playing music every morning by the time I woke up during my visit
    • (I have since moved it to my workshop), and put the Play:3 next to it to compare; the Sonos unit sounds at least as good across the entire audio range, and to my taste, sounding as good as
    • I returned this speaker as fast as I could
    • We can both control the speaker to work with a variety of phone apps such as Audible and Spotify as well as with our Alexa Echo.
