I have a 500GB hard drive connected to my router via USB 2

The name of my external hard drive with my iTunes library would not work with the workaround

I connected a NAS (hard drive connected to my router) and can access my music without the need to have the PC on

I don't use my PC for either of these activities because I don't want to waste the hard drive space since I have an Amazon cloud as part of my Prime and I use it for all my music and audiobooks

After spending 6 hours I finally got it to work with my hard drive only to find out that I would have to spend hours to reconfigure it after disconnecting the hard drive from my computer.

If you have a large library, on an external hard drive; anticipate issues.

Sonos definitely put the work into their software as I have always wanted to access all the music on my laptop hard drive, even if it's in standby mode

I'm good until the next time I move an external hard drive, and then we go through the same dance all over again

Overall a great investment, especially if you've got all your music in one place like the hard drive of you computer and especially if you've got a smartphone you already use for everything
