• Reviews around app (3.88 of 5)

Sonos Playbar TV Soundbar/ Wireless Streaming TV and Music Speaker. Works with Alexa.

    • Extremely happy with this system; may be best (easiest) app in the universe
    • The app is great.
    • The app is seamless and allows multiple phones as controllers so my wife can adjust volume or switch radio apps as she wishes.
    • The app is simple and works well with my Spotify account
    • I love the app and the sound quality, but loathe the ala carte pricing for the sub and additional speakers
    • Similarly, if you have a favorite podcasting app, you can't easily get it to play through a sonos system
    • many updates since this initial review but basics remain the same):A powerful, yet easy and intuitive app works flawlessly
    • The ability to use my IR remote to control the volume, AND the great full featured sonos controller apps for iphone, ipad, osx, windows, android etc
    • The HEOS app is clunky, unrefined and still under development by comparison
    • The app is very good.
    • You can install the free SONOS Controller app on a PC, Mac, Smartphone, iPod, iPad, Tablet, etc... --
    • The windows app is a win32 app which runs ok, but i'd really really really appreciate a native Winodws 10 UWP app - however there are a few in the Windows10 store that are getting updated regularly - "Phonos" works well and is available on WIndows PHone, Surface/Desktop and has even been released on Xbox One app store.
    • Has promise - speakers sound pretty good and can be tuned to room with app (if you leave them in the same place in the room),But there are a several things that keep me from recommending it:The app is vary frustrating - If you want to move the speakers from room to room - it won't remember your set-ups.
    • Of course, there’s also the Sonos ecosystem problems, but if you’re looking at this speaker you’re probably already familiar with those limitations (e.g. no Bluetooth, no line-in, no audible support, slow app updates, etc.).
    • Mobile apps and PC apps are amazing, and the continued updates that add new functionality are nothing short of amazing
    • The app to play music is great and give you a lot of options.
    • You can also play your other apps through it too, like any other Sonos speaker (eg, music services).
    • The soundbar for music lovers-Easy setup-Excellent app-Seamless control via TV (or universal
    • The app works great and the sound is flawless 99% of the time (you might occasionally experience some
    • Superior sound and very functional app
    • She LOVES the sound bar and the app that lets her control it from phone or pad!
    • Setup was a breeze, the app is easy to
    • Love the Sonos app that that turns our phone's play lists into an a entire home fabulous listing area
    • I launched the free SONOS iPad app and then was guided through a setup and calibration that helped me get the most out of my components.
    • The app only works on the same WiFi network as the Playbar
    • Love the app
    • To fully configure the unit and get it to work with your existing remote, you'll need to install the SONOS controller app (free) which runs on PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices
    • To use the TV remote to control channels, then a separate app to control the sound volume is just ridiculous
    • The HEOS app is clunky, unrefined and still under development by comparison
    • Installation and setup was a breeze, taking less than 5 minutes using the excellent Android tablet app.
    • From extreme install simplicity, to amazing app for iPhone and iPad, etc
    • I love the app and the way I can play all my music
    • your home network devices, (i.e. your PC(s), laptop(s), and handheld(s)), on which you installed the free SONOS app(s), and3
    • You can’t see what the current volume level is unless you look at the slow/generally bad Sonos app, and you
    • I love the app and the sound quality, but loathe the ala carte pricing for the sub and additional speakers
    • Yes you can use their fancy app to control it
    • Great android app to control the Playbar also.
    • Although each component seems expensive, they are all supported by an infrastructure that provides free apps for running everything, nearly seamless integration, and great customer service.
    • The sound quality is great, the apps on the iPad and iPhone are so easy to use.
    • app is nice and works well with my spotify account.
    • The free SONOS App available the Apple App Store is incredibly easy to use and provides you with full capability to control the sound quality, equalization and calibration of your home theater setup!!
    • I thought I would hate the app as much as I had no love for the Bose app
    • The app needs sopme fine
    • Well, since I haven't done the update the app won't let me reauthorize my Apply Music subscription so my library is essentially not available resulting in a non-functional system
    • The app works really well.
    • The app is nice and playing over your network is nice, but you have to play your music from the SONOS app itself
    • After years of purchasing Sonos equipment so I can have a whole-house music system, Sonos just announced that they will brick all of my Sonos controllers ($400 a piece with cradle) - Sonos offers no other dedicated controller and will force every customer to use the terrible IOS/Android app instead.
    • Their app works perfectly and the we expect to enjoy the easy access to movies and music.
    • You can program it to use any IR remote you have to adjust the volume up or down, and the app for the iPhone is great.
    • Minus 1 star because the app is kind of terrible and you have to use it for setup
    • It works nicely with my TV (a 2015 Vizio 4k model), and the mobile apps are fantastic for playing music without needing the TV and/or AppleTV on
    • 6-favorite Bose app) that worked with Airplay, Spotify Connect, and aux inputs
    • The app for controlling the sound in different rooms or adjusting volume/bass/treble, or the volume of the surround speakers, works effortlessly
    • Love the sound and the app for our phones or tablets is really nice
    • The app is really great for Sonos
    • the app is fine but requires a lot of clicks to get to the adjustments for sound (3
    • These apps are pretty awful (just look up the feedback on Sonos' own user forums).
    • App is very annoying to use
    • I would never buy a Sonos product again until their wifi technology is better tested and works as it should.
    • No "well you just have to..." or "sometimes it does xyz, but overall i'm happy" no sinking feeling that the next great thing you built up in your head isn't quite as great as you built it up to be
    • Hopefully Sonos eventually realizes that they need other connection options, but regardless, for now works extremely well for me as I have it set up
    • Sonos is legendary for a good reason - because they really produce these components for the discerning consumer as well as for the neophyte looking for new sonic frontiers
    • It's great to be able to send my 40 or so digital music channels from my cable provider throughout the house as well as to finally have my DVD player connected
    • Sonos still doesn't seem to be quickly developing software updates for it's current line of offerings which leaves me worried as to the longevity of the current speaker technology.
    • this didn't bug me as much as it should because my TV is mounted on the wall and there is no space for a blu-ray player anyway
    • I'll add more as I gain insights.
    • Setup was a bit of a challenge at first - I did not start out with a Sonos bridge - which I highly recommend as it creates a separate wifi network for your Sonos system
