The windows app is a win32 app which runs ok, but i'd really really really appreciate a native Winodws 10 UWP app - however there are a few in the Windows10 store that are getting updated regularly - "Phonos" works well and is available on WIndows PHone, Surface/Desktop and has even been released on Xbox One app store.

Has promise - speakers sound pretty good and can be tuned to room with app (if you leave them in the same place in the room),But there are a several things that keep me from recommending it:The app is vary frustrating - If you want to move the speakers from room to room - it won't remember your set-ups.

Although each component seems expensive, they are all supported by an infrastructure that provides free apps for running everything, nearly seamless integration, and great customer service.

Well, since I haven't done the update the app won't let me reauthorize my Apply Music subscription so my library is essentially not available resulting in a non-functional system

After years of purchasing Sonos equipment so I can have a whole-house music system, Sonos just announced that they will brick all of my Sonos controllers ($400 a piece with cradle) - Sonos offers no other dedicated controller and will force every customer to use the terrible IOS/Android app instead.

Their app works perfectly and the we expect to enjoy the easy access to movies and music.

You can program it to use any IR remote you have to adjust the volume up or down, and the app for the iPhone is great.

I would never buy a Sonos product again until their wifi technology is better tested and works as it should.

No "well you just have to..." or "sometimes it does xyz, but overall i'm happy" no sinking feeling that the next great thing you built up in your head isn't quite as great as you built it up to be

Hopefully Sonos eventually realizes that they need other connection options, but regardless, for now works extremely well for me as I have it set up

Sonos is legendary for a good reason - because they really produce these components for the discerning consumer as well as for the neophyte looking for new sonic frontiers

It's great to be able to send my 40 or so digital music channels from my cable provider throughout the house as well as to finally have my DVD player connected

Sonos still doesn't seem to be quickly developing software updates for it's current line of offerings which leaves me worried as to the longevity of the current speaker technology.

this didn't bug me as much as it should because my TV is mounted on the wall and there is no space for a blu-ray player anyway
