I love that i can control the many speakers throughout my home, in sync or separate, I can walk from one end of my house to the other and listen seamlessly to my favorite music.

Music is awesome on these speakers as well

And music from Pandora or any other source sounds lush (you can set the surrounds to supplement the Playbar with subtle, ambient sound when playing music, or louder, full range sound to really fill the listening room).

This paired with the Sonos Sub has been the best music / home theater sound system I've ever

my living room is fair size and it completely engulfed it in crystal clear music and sound from the TV

, the voice is clear, the subwoofer is just right, the music is fantastic, and if I needed to, I could turn the voice enhancement on from the sonos app

Don't get me wrong though, music on the Playbar sounds AWESOME.

It took awhile to figure out how to make this set up work, and after a lot of trial and error (see below), this smart tv / smart music set up works and sounds great

Super happy I bought this, in fact, we listed to music now more than ever, the Sonos music app alone is nice, world music stations, endless Jazz/Lounge/Latin music channels, its a dream to own, and looks so slick

With the SONOS controller and its ability to use all of the top music services including Slacker, its the best sound bar out there and has the most features

But, keep in mind that Harman Kardan's competing playbar is priced generally the same ($600 range), and this one comes equipped with Sonos' best in-class digital music software built in, Sonos Connect, which gives you access to your library of digital music (Amazon Cloud Player, Spotify, Pandora, and Rhapsody) through a simple interface

It isn't updated often, feels old and unintuitive and has limited music options

Amazing.....TV watching has gone to the top level, all dialogue is clearer and the music from some of theses shows are great

This is a great soundbar for people who want a very high def system to watch movies, etc and for people who love music everyday

Not sure if I want to spend 700 bucks just to hear good music but I am moving toward this decision

Surrounds (Play 3s) will go down in volume when in TV mode, but music sounds extremely well and non-distorted.

I love the sound quality this has for movies and tv, as well as music

By itself, the Play:5 outperforms it when playing pure music as it has punchier bass and seemingly wider dynamic range

You can also use the Sonos app to play all of your favorite music services, podcasts, etc

However, when you pair it with the Sub, it takes on a whole new life and the music becomes warm and rich

Although you can access 3rd party content (such as Spotify), you can't, for example, use the spotify app directly and for their excellent music discovery and and social features

I have always loved good music and nice speakers, I don't believe that the Sonos speakers are the best speakers I have heard or even that I own.

SONOS is more of an open platform with support for different file formats as well as all of the most popular music streaming apps and services

The Playbar was easy to set up and sounds fantastic Terrific TV sound & amazing music through my Sonos system.

It achieved that goal, but what I never expected was how good music sounds on this and how nice the Sonos app is for finding music.

I'm not an audiophile music nut but can appreciate a good quality product for music and movies.

Not to mention playing great music from apps like Pandora.
