I was surprised by how well the system sounds compared to the Sonos because the weight of the soundbar and sub are lighter and smaller than the Sonos Playbar and Sub

Honestly can't wait to pick up the sub to really experience the full sound this nifty system can produce.

Quality of sound is 5 stars but the system is a major headache if your wifi goes down

* If you're just looking for a good TV sound system, you can spend a fraction of the cost and get another good soundbar + wireless sub woofer

All in all, I still think the system is worth it given the ecosystem it provides

like no system has such capability especially soundbar without subwoofer, you won't have lower frequency coverage; hence, those who wants one need to buy Subwoofer

For homes that are older with no wiring in the walls for sound options, these systems are fantastic

Also, same issue as many other systems when watching a movie where voice is low and background, effects too loud; even adjusting and using movie and night setting

Sonos has a great software (music management) system.

Overall, excellent wireless system.

In comparison, other systems like Bluesound and HEOS, each device has to be connected to WIFI so theoretically restrict your WIFI bandwidth

Two weeks after adding the Play 1's as rear speakers and choosing the Sonos home theater setup on my Sonos menu, I find that I greatly enjoy a home theater system which compares favorably with others costing far more

Amazing sound system for the price

If you haven't gotten a device to pass through the correct audio signal, you're not experiencing how great this system could sound

Sounds good but not very loud and obviously it's missing the bass, which you can add for double the price, that being said, I don't think this system is worth it at a $700 or $1400 price point

I recommend this system to anyone who has ears.

A great system, and yes it's expensive to start, but once you have it, I am not sure I can see why you would go back to wired.

System like HEOS apparent has this optional and if output is only on single device you won’t have the issue

Very easy to use, good sound, sleek design and great wireless sound system

because the mechanical noises are distinct for each robot and any good sound system, like SONOS, allows me to hear them.

That said, $1200 for the pair (soundbar + sub) gets you a good sound system but not one that compares to others in the same price range.

We love having the system throughout the house -- until the realization almost $2000 has been shelled out for the whole shebang starts to settle

This system sounds great, and is very easy to set up using the iPhone app

and I set up a BETTER system in under 10 minutes

We wanted something that had great sound but also worked with wifi, This is a great system, it allows you to mix and match to tailor the system to your needs.

The system also loses speakers from our account so that we cant pair them with the soundbar.

I had a Onkyo 7.1 system, which never really got a 7.1 signal, but the receiver died on me

I have a nice component stereo system that my turntable is connected to, and it shares the same room as my TV

I like the system and it sounds great.

Then start streaming Amazon Music or Sirius XM and you really understand why this system is so great!

The sub and play one’s make an awesome surround sound system, really excelling when I stream music

But if you hope to get a great surround sound system when you couple it with two more Sonos Play:1 or Play:3 speakers, you will very likely be disappointed

I know there are great 5.1 systems out there, for the money, and the use in a living room, where my wife frowns on large speakers, subs and wire clutter, Sonos is the one to beat.

Sonos needs to create an easier system to switch on and off.

Entire system sounds great!

System works well but is VERY difficult to set up and maintain using its apps.

Unfortunately, the audio delays are too severe to recommend, and the whole system is too cumbersome/awkward to use on a daily basis

Awesome sound system

It seems to defeat all of the benefits of having a pure digital wireless speaker system

From a sound perspective you will always get better sound from a full fledged surround sound system, but my family room layout doesn't support a surround sound system, which is why I was previously using the Sony soundbar.

Paired with the Play 1s, I've been able to make a decent surround sound system.

I just can't praise the system enough

It's a completely limited and closed system.

I can get sound when I play a show in Netflix, but none of the TV's system sounds (like the click you hear when switching options on the menu) will work

The result of this is an excellent surround sound system with no cables running through the walls or on the floor.

I was going to buy one of the much cheaper systems which looked quite similar.

Overall though I do enjoy the single wire (power) system and with the Sonos base and two Play 3's the sound is very full.

so took a chance on this without hearing it before the purchase and was not disappointed; my family and I love this system.

While the Playbar will put out good sound on it's own, it definitely needs the Sub to compete with a good 5.1 surround system

For what it is though, it's a pretty nice system

Its just that good.- set up was fairly easy.- being able to sync with your tv remote is just a great feature to have- once combined with a pair of sonos 3 as surround speakers you have yourself a great speaker system perfect for a bedroom or mini tv room

We love our Sonos system so we had be wanting to add this soundbar to our den room since we cannot access above the ceiling to install in-ceiling speakers in the room.

The SUB topped the system off and is a natural pairing to the PLAYBAR.

In meantime I can say that in a lot of ways Sonos was the best sound system I've ever owned, but also the most frustrating.

I can't vouch for those, but this system is really incredible.

My husband accidentally broke our 20 year old Bose system recently and since we had moved into an old 1935 home with plaster walls we needed to go wireless.

I went ahead and paid for the replacement because it is a great system when it's working.

You read correctly, the Sonos "home theater" product cannot decode one of home theater's finest digital sound encoding surround systems

but for now this entire system has not only met but surpassed our expectations.

Add in the ability to stream music, and you have an awesome system for all facets of entertainment

I was required to run a system update which auto-prompted and took little time to install.

I should have known that Sonos would change the game, as this soundbar CRUSHED my old system in terms of both setup and sound.
