The picture is great and I haven't had a single problem with the device.

Gave as gift, perfect for first time bluray owner, also gave bluray movie and the new owner could not believe the quality and how nice the picture was.

Had this for over 3 years now and used it for the longest as a dvd player on a couple different tvs and it still without issue, even when I started playing blu-rays more often and moved up to an hdmi cable it still has an awesome picture and no issues

It does come with the red/white/yellow cable so you can hook it up without using an HDMI cable but you won't get the best picture possible using the cable that comes with it

At first I thought it might be the television, so I switched back to live TV and the picture was fine.
