I see all kinds of great and terrible reviews, so let me just clarify the main idea: I just wanted a BR player

I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are for, aside from the fact that people are angry it is not wireless.

I have never before gotten on Amazon to write a bad review, but when it comes to this player, I just have to.

I tried to set up a wired connection to the internet through the wall adaptor and ended up setting off my house alarm that's inactive (we aren't paying for the alarm system to be active).I'd love to give it a great review, but I wish it would've lasted longer on not skipping at least.

Chose this model because it had RCA connections that are compatible with my TV which doesn't take HDMI, that and good reviews

I almost didn't buy this player due to the many mediocre or worse reviews, but then I actually read some of the reviews and actually saw that a great many complaints were about things I was looking for

No freezes, cutouts or issues like those expressed in many of the negative reviews

With the latest firmware version, much of the "auto shutoff" and many other complaints from earlier poor reviews seem to no longer be valid.

Don't let the negative reviews direct you away from this player if you have your eye on it.

This had decent reviews and a reasonable

I all ready had a combination VHS Blue Ray, but had found myself using mainly the DVD/BD secton of it.
