    Sony BDP-S550 1080p Blu-ray Player (2008 Model)

    • great picture quality
    • Excellent picture quality , the sound too
    • Only used it a couple of times and the quality is the best and ease of use was great too.
    • We are so frustrated by how difficult and slow it is to use this player that we always go and get the laptop from the other room, because it works faster and easier and the quality is just as good.
    • However, the Sony apparently has better picture quality, especially for up-converting DVDs
    • Awesome picture quality
    • Top of the line!Cons: Sound quality is not what its all cracked up to be, but still good
    • In my view, the quality of standard DVD on my monitor is so good that going to Blueray is not worth the price.
    • I received the DVD player and hooked it to my Samsung 46" HD television, it worked great easy to install and fabulous picture quality
    • Superb picture quality and most important for
    • It was nice to have everything go smoothly and have such great quality now.
    • You need to use an HDMI cable to enjoy the improved quality with HD televisions so add that to your purchase.
    • Top of the line!Cons: Sound quality is not what its all cracked up to be, but still good
    • Granted, I have a great digital 1080i/1080p TV, which probably improves the picture quality to the best it can be
    • Finally I can say (after buying a laser disk player and at least 5 DVD players -- each one with more features and better quality than its predecessor -- not counting those in PCs), that the images are as good as I would want.
    • Still outstanding image quality..just like going to the the movies.
    • The quality of this product is outstanding
    • Super quality with blu-ray movies, home movies burned to DVDs from my Sony VRD-MC5, still pictures, and music.
    • The audio quality will be downgraded to accomodate that those cable formats can't transport the data fast enough for the full quality
    • Super quality with blu-ray movies, home movies burned to DVDs from my Sony VRD-MC5, still pictures, and music.
    • I burned the SD format video on a DVD and played it on a dvd player, it was fine, good quality
    • This is an inferior quality product, backed with inferior service and an attitude of 'we don't care about the customer's satisfaction'.
