This is a fantastic Blu-ray player straight out of the box - no firmware upgrade required.

It's a little slow at loading movies compared to the much faster and way cheaper blu-ray players on the market today

Of course they know that this level of support will not keep their players capable of playing all or nearly all available blu ray titles

Now, only if Sony would send me a couple of free Blu-ray titles.

If you're like me and your receiver doesn't have HDMI in, nor does it decode any of the new HD audio formats, but does have discrete 5.1 or 7.1 inputs, you would be hard pressed to get a better Blu Ray unit than this one

I am thoroughly enjoying my Sony Blu-ray and saved $$ when I purchased it from Amazon.

Amazon had the greatest price on this superb blue ray player.

I am still not convincedthat blue ray is worth the cost if you have a good dvd player.

The former for those blu-ray disks that support 7.1 audio and the later for older DVDs and 5.1 blu-ray disks

We received this product on time, work very good, for me the best DVD blu-ray player.
