    Sony BDPS6500 3D 4K Upscaling Blu-ray Player with Wi-Fi (2015 Model)

    • The first thing I was disappointed in was the capability of the
    • I can't keep track of all the frustrating things it does or says I can't do when I want to because it's got some problem
    • This thing is junk
    • Such things as the film's copyright date was sharp and readable
    • The only good thing I can say about this is that it does play blu-ray dvds
    • This thing is an HT swiss army knife, and when it breaks, as long as you get a few years use out of it, just get another more up to date versionwhen it dies, totally disposable, and that's not a bad thing
    • This thing is constantly freezing and restarting and I've only had it a week.
    • strangest thing is that it would begin playing anything else except what we were watching.
    • The remote is small, which can be a good thing but there are a lot of buttons crammed onto it so for me it was easy to hit the wrong button.
    • If it was more frequent I'd just junk the thing, and if it was less frequent it wouldn't bother me much
    • The only good thing that I have to say about the experience is that Amazon's returns process is extremely good!
    • BUT this thing is noisy!
    • This thing is absolute junk.
    • It's unacceptable for this thing to be trash after a year
    • Interface is infuriatingly slow, sometimes the thing just ignores button clicks.
    • (One good thing is that the unit remembers my login info for streaming services like Netflix, so I don't have to type it all in every time.
    • This thing is like 2 pounds, it feels like it is
    • If it was more frequent I'd just junk the thing, and if it was less frequent it wouldn't bother me much
    • Bought this unit from BestBuy today to go with our nice new LG 4K UHD TV and Pioneer Elite receiver, thinking that having a 4K upscaling Blu Ray player would be a good thing.
    • One very important thing
    • The thing is constantly freezing and I have to get up and pull out the power cord and let it sit for a while and then plug it back in
    • Only thing was a freeze on firmware update at 100% complete
    • I really like this thing
    • This thing is noisy.
    • , it can happen during a movie OR a Pandora/XM-Sirius broadcast, it can happen when exiting an application, or even when just trying to turn the damn thing off with the remote (it won't
    • This thing is awesome!!
    • if you're a streamer like me, you're better off with a Roku because this thing is way too slow and buggy
    • best! One thing that's very important is, you NEED the cable to connectto your TV!
    • Free time is scarce, when you come home and have 2 hours before you need to go to bed and you waste 5 to 15 minutes trying to get the stupid thing to connect to the internet or reset because it froze up is frustrating beyond belief
    • but I think this thing looks cheap because it's so small.
    • Even then some things don't see to work like I want - getting to the main menu to play the movie is difficult, doesn't seem to remember where you stopped watching so have to start all over again if you don't watch it all at once.
    • The only thing I would complain about is the lack of memory this unit seems to have because if I try to view ANY webpage in the browser I get a message that the webpage is too big to view
    • That such can largely be taken for granted, even at this unit's very moderate price-point, is the most remarkable thing about that aspect of the machine
    • It's unacceptable for this thing to be trash after a year
    • Sometimes it does weird things with the audio on DVDs.
    • I think it’s always a good thing to do with Blu-ray players to get the latest compatibility features on these players
    • Realistically, the only thing that I can stream now is NETFLIX and, unfortunately, the interface stinks
    • This thing works great for playing Dvds
    • Note also that while the S6700 supports dual band (2.4G and 5G) the S6500 does not
