This omni clip did not pick up the sound well of the interviewee and it was very hard to fix in iMovie when editing

Even with the portable speaker belted on her pants behind her back and the microphone clipped near her mouth on her shirt, the portable speaker continued to emit high-pitched distortion sounds.

The mic is very cool - small, unobtrusive clip-on providing surprisingly good sound quality.

For anyone wondering, the clip comes off as follows (without breaking it and being able to reinstall it later, if desired): There's a pin that holds the hinge/pivot point of the plastic jaw together

and I have to be careful to to break the clip off.

There should be a wind Muffler over it and a sturdier clip

BUT -- the real solution is to use an oversize metal clip that you can buy for $10 on BAYBE - it's the same diameter and will slide right on.
