It's very good quality audio recording for its price point

i hit record on the camcorder, hit record on the sony icd-ax412, and then i slap my hands and i'm in sync

It provides good quality recording in a quiet environment, but unfortunately the road noise transmitted in my otherwise great but noisy Mazda 3 resulted in many Dragon transcription errors

Many cameras as well as other recording devices DON'T supply PiP so this Mic wouldn't work with them

If you buy one be aware that it requires PiP (Plug in Power) which is the recording device like a camera supplying a very small amount of electrical current to anything plugged into its "mic" port

Although I would highly recommend an extension cord if recording from a camcorder or pc due to the short 3 foot cord

The recording from this is far better than using the mic built in to the my recording device.

When I'm not talking I can open the visor and comfortable record all the traffic going on around me

After just wiggling it around a bit I managed to get the right side to record, but that's it

I use this mic with a Zoom H2n digital recorder to get a clear backup audio recording indoors or outside.(For web audio only my studio mics are preferred, but Amazon has some great affordable and convenient Jabra Evolve 30 and Evolve 40 headsets with excellent noise cancelling mics and dual USB/3.5 mm jacks that work well with a computer, digital recorder, or even cordless phone (with a 2.5 mm male to 3.5 mm female adapter.

Surprisingly-good recording quality for such a low price.

I used it with my Xperia Z 1 cell phone with a good free vioce recording app and it worked beautifuly for my vids on YouTube

gives great sound when record directly into my Canon t3i, however, it does not work with my Zoom H2 sound recorder

I bought it for a couple of reasons, first and foremost due to all the great reviews, but specifically [1] to plug into the computer for recording voice notes, [2] to plug into my action cams for recording good audio while on the go, and [3] to plug into my Android to record notes to self while out and about
